Myles initially played in a band called Special Patrol. He wrote the songs, played guitar and sang for this band. They recorded three full length albums and a number of EPs and singles. Many songs were placed on daily rotation around the country including Triple J, Triple M and Nova. Special Patrol toured Australia over a period of six years and played many of the great Australian festivals and venues. Touring highlights include Falls Festival main stage (twice), Big Day Out, Clipsal 500 Concert with Powderfinger, Woodford Festival as well as tours and/or shows with Ben Kweller (USA), Paul Weller (UK), The Mountain Goats (USA), Maximo Park (UK), The Bees (UK), Idlewild (UK), Turin Brakes (UK), Donovan Frankenreiter (USA), Evermore (NZ), Paul Kelly, The Whitlams, Pete Murray and The Church.
After Special Patrol split Myles continued to write and record music. Signing with mushroom publishing and various independent labels he released two solo albums with various singles being added to daily rotation on national stations including Triple J and Double J on daily rotation. He kept touring in Australia playing support for artists such as Michah P Hinson (USA), Tim Rogers, Eskimo Joe, Cat Empire and many more.
