Polish-born and Edinburgh-based, ona:v began DJing years ago, but only started playing in Edinburgh clubs in 2019. Since then, she played in some of Edinburgh's best techno venues, as well as secured residency at Fnoob Techno Radio and Edinburgh's EH-FM community radio. She also founded an all-female electro/techno DJ collective EPiKA - their launch night, scheduled for the beginning of April, was cancelled in the face of global pandemic. While this mix is very much about techno, you can typically expect a healthy dose of electro in her mixes. As the lockdown progresses, ona:v plays faster and faster.

@ramkka is a DJ and producer from a small town in Ireland that has been fascinated with techno since he was a teenager. His love for the genre developed after seeing Dave Clarke many years ago and he has been DJing for 15 years now with his production career beginning at the start of this year. His first EP was released earlier this year on Spanish label Truc Records and he has another 3-track EP on the way alongside other remixes and tracks which have also been signed by labels across Europe.

Methodical is the newest venture from Italy’s MTD who introduces his latest alias with debut album titled Focus. He is also the owner of the seasoned label Sonntag Morgen and as an artist, has seen his music on imprints such as Animal Farm, Blackrod, Affekt, and Gynoid Audio.

This eleven track pack is nothing short of total excellence, with diverse ideas, yet solid club functionality. Familiar and new is difficult to achieve for any artist and we hold him in high esteem with no sign of filler, which is hard to find in the abundance of the digital world. Proving his production pedigree and consistently hitting the spot, this album is essential to real techno lovers.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Köln” that gets into some mental pleasure with its hypnotic techniques. Using spacey drones and wonky modular stabs to create a moving and morphing sonic masterclass of exceptional analogue beauty.

The Drum Beats Go Like This

Myles doesn’t hold back within their sets and productions, which cut brutal edges from industrial and noise techno. Razing the dancefloor is second nature for the DJ and burgeoning producer. With a neoteric take on experimental and powerful sounds, their tracks purge with slammed and distorted kicks, but with a surprising spaciousness opened up by grooves, synths and drones. 


Born in Manchester, and now based in London, where they have played across the underground scene there and in Berlin, Myles draws inspiration from the people they connect with at every turn. They continue to fuse different experiences to evolve their tastes as an artist whilst staying true to a constant inclination for harder sounds that sparked from their first time at London’s KAOS. Now, in their unrelenting productions, they look to Lesser Of, Fluid, UNHAPPY, Ontal, Orphx, ALYA7H as just some of the rising forces to carve their own niche. 

They are here at full pelt. Throwing everything they have at an inevitable calling. Raw to the core.
