On October the 15th 1917, Mata Hari,a well know Dutch exotic dancer, was executed in Vincennes after being convicted of spying. A mysterious and enigmatic figure, her story is borderline mythical.

As you can imagine we didn't pull out the ouji board and got in touch with the kind spirits to receive a fresh mix from the dead Dutch double-agent... However the Mata Hari responsible of compiling the 4th 10TRAX is also Dutch and for all we know she might also be a double-agent; although we are awaiting confirmation on that.

We first got in touch with Mata via Souncloud were her eclectic and cosmic mixes instantly caught our attention. With a fascinating narrative, her 10TRAX take us on a trip across several female vocals and what she calls 'Mata's Mantras'

10TRAX #004 : Mata Hari

It all started when Amsterdam based DJ duo Luca & Mata Hari got asked to play their favorite music at some party. That party actually never stopped. This weekend they'll be performing at the first edition of Strange Sounds From Beyond, a new music festival taking place in Amsterdam, hosted by Outsiders, Red Light Radio and The Rest is Noise. They expect it to be an obscure and exotic journey through time, space and music from beyond.

☥☥☥ begin cleaning up potential mess

☥☥☥ if necessary put the winter clothes in the washing machine,
 that you will be putting in storage

☥☥☥ if you have hoarded stuff or have to sort out papers, 
do it now and get rid of everything you don't need, 
yet try to make a donate box or bag of everything,
 that could be valuable to another


☥☥☥ get all your supplies out and ready


☥☥☥ begin dusting off everything, 
don't skip the most annoying corners

☥☥☥ if you haven't cleaned your drains recently,
now is the time

☥☥☥ wash the windows with a sponge or cloth
soaked in hot water with a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar one
 by one, make sure to use gloves if you have delicate hands
against the heat, don't use chemicals !

☥☥☥ dry them with old or unwanted newspaper

☥☥☥ turn up the mix a little more and start vacuuming,
 the entire place, move furniture wherever possible, 
again don't skip a thing

☥☥☥ now go mopping the floor, unless you have carpet 
and if you have cats or dogs, use lavender oil in the hot water
 to make sure you don't get a flea infestation,
 now that temperatures will finally rise again

☥☥☥ if you managed all this within the hour, 
you either had already a very tidy house,
 or you just live as tiny as I do
