This is my drum & bass reimagining of the timeless French choral piece Vois Sur Ton Chemin from the film Les Choristes. The original carries a hauntingly beautiful sense of hope and light, and I wanted to fuse that emotion with the deep energy and rolling rhythms of drum and bass.

By layering the ethereal choir vocals over driving basslines, crisp breaks, and atmospheric pads, the track aims to balance soulful nostalgia with modern intensity — a journey from delicate harmonies to full-on dancefloor energy.

Big respect to Bruno Coulais and the Les Choristes choir for such an inspiring original. 🙏

S.P.Y has been deep in his Bristol-based lab riling up a storm since the release of his killer double album ‘Back To Basics: Chapters 1+2’. His hard-drives are overflowing with sketches and scores, now he's ready to rise from the shadows with a three-part drum & bass blast - ‘Alone In The Dark’.

EP:1 brings two distinct shades. Opener ‘Keep On Searching’ rolls deep with a signature S.P.Y bassline moving slowly across sultry vocal fragments. ‘Unlimited Love’ brings uplifting summer warmth with an inviting male vocal lead, set and ready for festival season.

A ragga vocal throws back to jungle roots in ‘Soldier’, this alongside ‘Black Ops’ makes two surefire weapons for recruiting the early morning D+B troops. Title track ‘Alone In The Dark’ is a definitive room-filler bringing weighty bass, punchy percussions and a menacing synthline, assassinating anyone in his path.

Celebrating two decades in business, Technique Recordings have opened up the vaults and handed out the stems of some of their biggest tunes to some of the sickest producers around. We had warnings of what was to come with DC Breaks' remix of Tantrum Desire's 'Airhead' and Glitch City's take on Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Skumbag', and cuts from this album have been shelling down raves and festivals all summer.

Now, here's what we've been waiting for.

This album, spanning the full twenty years of Technique history, showcases the real strength and depth of the catalogue. Anthems like Crissy Criss & Youngman's 'Kick Snare', Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Crossfire' and Tantrum Desire's 'Reach' all get reconfigured to take heads off all over again. The bossmen have even resurrected their Future Tech moniker to give a 2019 upgrade to TECH 001.

And the array of remixers recruited take us all the way across the spectrum of contemporary drum 'n' bass. The likes of Bladerunner and Marky rub shoulders with AMC and The Prototypes...this album is as musically multi-faceted as it is star-studded. We welcome back Tephra to Dispatch Limited for the Shift EP. Previously known by label fans for his work with long term production partner Arkoze, this release sees Tephra fully explore his own sound as he curates this 5 track EP, packed with his own production and selected guests.

As an aspiring producer Tephra turned to Nick Modern for advice when getting started, so it is fitting that the first track on this release see the two talented producers work with each other as peers, bringing us ‘Side by Side’ featuring the unmistakable vocal talents of Collette Warren.

The EP also features ‘Connection’ a collaboration with close friend Edison, the excellent Melysma Remix of the classic Tephra & Arkoze track ‘Instinct (ft Hillzy)’, and two solo tracks from Tephra – ‘Shift’ and ‘Eerie One’.
