II. Valse

This piece was inspired by a short phrase that caught my attention in  Bach's Organ Sonata No.4, played by the prodigiously talented Icelandic pianist Vikingur Olafsson. As is often the case for me, finding the notes in that short phrase started me on a journey, and after a number of miss steps and U-turns I ended up here.

From Moscow to Siberia, people have taken to the streets in many Russian cities to demonstrate against the war in Ukraine. People chanted "No to war!". The anti-war protests had begun on Thursday after Russian troops invaded Ukraine. Hundreds of protesters have been detained daily since then. The protests appeared to be smaller than those on Thursday, when thousands gathered in Moscow and St. Petersburg. But the true scale was difficult to gauge...

Thee First Day OV Forever

Dear friends - a genocide is going on!
Today, the 24:th of february 2023, is one year since Russia invaded Ukraine. The people of Ukraine have been subjected to enormous suffering.
We pray that the Russians end the war and go home.
We pray for the people of Ukraine.
