#PlasticFreeParty is a collection of conscientious, green-hearted tunes from some of our favourite artists, all brought together to highlight the incredible work being done by our friends at Bye Bye Plastic, the disruptive nonprofit working to eliminate single-use plastics in the music industry and restore Earth balance. The album will be officially launched at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event with a party organised in collaboration with Levantine House in the luxurious W Amsterdam on release day, Thursday 20th October. A world-first, ground-breaking non-vinyl physical version of the album is also in the works.

Curated by Parisian DJ duo Chambord and released on BLOND:ISH’s ABRACADABRA label, #PlasticFreeParty brings together 14 new tracks from artists like BLOND:ISH, Shiba San, Vander & Deer Jade, Urmet K, Zigan Aldi and Chambord themselves.  100% of the album’s profits will be forwarded to the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, enabling them to increase their visibility and message.

Chambord explained how the compilation came to fruition; “In 2020, we worked with Bye Bye Plastic for our first live performance in France. During this time, we gathered a group of friends and associates to create fundraising for this cause, and have been working together ever since. We met with Camille from the BBP foundation, and together with Blond:ish we decided to create a music compilation to raise funds. Together we can hopefully achieve our goals and make a difference.”

‘Mmetho’is a lively and bouncy opening characterized by playful percussion, a simple refrain that is kinetic and joyous.

‘Insurgence’ is a more traditional Afro Tech, a brooding pad sets the mood for this dark and moody cut that's suited for late night sweaty dance floors.

‘Ngimbambile’ is positive and uplifting, as the piano chord progression and the running arp sits underneath a chanted refrain, leaving the listener in a state of suspended bliss.

‘Coy’ closes out the EP with a slow burn, melancholic bomb. Characterized by an ethereal voice, woodwind flourishes and rich sound design.

The Duo from Slovenia ,holding releases on imprints such as The Purr and Beat Boutique, brings three beautiful themes sharing his finest melodies on this release. First track "Politje" presents organic percussion and a progressive rolling deep groove making it a delightful dancefloor track. Next is "Solstije", bringing deep grooves, rolled into the peculiar texture and melody from Wawda & Mulo, building the track harmony in perfect balance. Completing the EP, "Viha" brings smooth chords with a deeper introspective feeling. Definitely a must-have for deeper organic and progressive house lovers. Music for your Senses.
