Premiere: Arude & Sincz - Sleepless Nights ft. SANDHAUS (Namito Remix)

Our First release of the year is a dance floor bomb which marks the label debut for Kid Bamboo, a Greek DJ who plays in top clubs worldwide. 'Carousel', first afro house track naming this EP is certainly worth discovering, with its convincing synth line, persistent groove and rhythmic elements. Enoo Napa gives us his interpretation, as usual terrific, with a solid bass line and a slightly darker atmosphere. To complete the EP, you'll find 'If You Ever' an organic house track, with entertaining melodies and rhythms, and a mysterious vocal which takes you far away. Viel (IT) offers a dreamy version of this piece, slightly more progressive, with dancing elements and sinuous piano and strings vibes. A worthwhile long awaited new year's inauguration.

Taking a more esoteric route, MoBlack's very own renders his stunning interpretation of 'Zimbabwe.' Infusing enigmatic cadences and penetrating electronic patterns, this remix drifts the original's vocals through sonic loops and into wistful transitions. An idyllic dance for the twilight. Wrapping up the EP, Kintar reigns in his affinity for mystical sounds and ethnic influences for his rendition of 'Zimbabwe.' Maneuvering robust percussion and earthy instrumentals, this remix amplifies the mundane soulfulness of the original's vocals, offering a sanguine escape for the most quixotic daydreamers.

Sol Selectas welcomes the trio ARKADYAN to the label, with their new single “Tulila”, featuring 2 remixes by Manoo, and Safar (FR). 
 
While on tour in Morocco, Arkadyan was inspired by the local culture and musical talents. They met and recorded local artist Radouan Naim, who sung the lyrics to Tulila, and also played the classic guembri instrument. This became the foundation for the song “Tulila” which is a  song typically sung by children while playing. It loosely translates to "maybe not, maybe yes... Tur kulila, Tulila " in the ancient Berber language. We hear the ying and yang, the perfect balance, between the playfulness of the lyrics, and the deep afro rhythms, percussion, and 3 stringed guembri. 
 
On the remixes we are honored to welcome French Soulful House legend Manoo, who has been a staple in the Deep House scene for over 25 years. Manoo has released countless productions on too many famous labels to even mention. His remix is pure Afro groove, with no breakdowns at all, just layers upon layers of incredible percussion, that endlessly builds the crowd into an absolute frenzy. 
 
The 2nd remix is by Safar (FR) and follows his amazing song “Leyam” from our Summer Sol VII compilation. He adds his own tribal groove to the original, and expertly chops up the vocals creating beautiful tension and release on the breakdowns.
 
The artwork by Helia Jamali depicts the golden spiral of life & the harmonic dance of the universe.
