“African Train” is a fascinating music trip produced by two well known DJs in Mozambique, Mr Hands & Rude, featuring the strong and passionate voice of Rhodalia Silvestre, also from Mozambique. You may want to start with the organic interpretation by Navaa, with its smooth harmonies and smart groove, which make you dream with open eyes. Then go to the original mix, for a plain afro groove and stunning afro sounds, yet with organic touches. The vocal will walk you through the history behind the song, the infamous destiny of many African mines’ workers, “deep down in the belly of the earth .. conscripted to come and work on contract in the gold and mineral mines of Johannesburg”. You can now go to the last version which completes this release, by Argento Dust. It gets definitely clubby with a strong synth and a dark and threatening atmosphere. Enjoy the trip!

Our First release of the year is a dance floor bomb which marks the label debut for Kid Bamboo, a Greek DJ who plays in top clubs worldwide. 'Carousel', first afro house track naming this EP is certainly worth discovering, with its convincing synth line, persistent groove and rhythmic elements. Enoo Napa gives us his interpretation, as usual terrific, with a solid bass line and a slightly darker atmosphere. To complete the EP, you'll find 'If You Ever' an organic house track, with entertaining melodies and rhythms, and a mysterious vocal which takes you far away. Viel (IT) offers a dreamy version of this piece, slightly more progressive, with dancing elements and sinuous piano and strings vibes. A worthwhile long awaited new year's inauguration.

Aaron Sevilla starts with a different rhythm, a softer piano and a dynamic bass. As the piano chords evolve, the drums also introduce new elements, and the enchanting voice leads to the end with increased energy. This is a nice one for the dance floor! Moish & Vasilis push strongly on the rhythm and the drums as well. This is yet another interpretation of the hypnotizing synths and melodies the track intrinsically offers. To begin with, "Desert" is a first of its kind: an afro-house pearl, both melodic and rhythmic, harmonious and balanced, it will conquer tastemakers from many genres. The original mix is a synthesis of these qualities, coming from the hands, minds and hearts of Davide Ferrario and Dalai, bright musicians. Second, it is special because it summoned all our favorite artists from My Other Side of the Moon and beyond. The afro-king Enoo Napa happily offered us an energetic pure afro-house interpretation you would want to hear in every club you step into. Rhythm "a la Enoo Napa"  is dominant, while the harmony builds up and the break takes the breath away. While the inconfundible voice of Dalai is a constant, Neil Amarey and Breeze and The Sun's remix give Desert their passionate touch, with some delightful guitar melodies and a light afro flair. Last, but not least, Breeze and The Sun and Mike Dem experiment together a deep melodic darker version, a blast of energy with a touching break where choirs and strings develop together to merge into an elegant and powerful ending.
