On July 28th, the Cuban-American act MYRANDAS will unveil their debut Spanish single 'Cuando Te Vi.' Known for their rebellious rock songs, the band embarks on a journey of rediscovering their musical identity and embracing Latin Urban culture in their latest release.

Inspired by LA's vibrant and diverse spirit, MYRANDAS reconnected with their Caribbean roots and crafted a perfect summer anthem. The new single showcases the band's artistic versatility and passion for pushing musical boundaries. Initially, MYRANDAS built their fanbase as a rock band, shedding light on the situation in Cuba through music. It conveyed their experiences of living on the island and relocating to the US, as well as addressed various social issues. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Rosalía, Bomba Estéreo, and Bad Bunny, the band unveiled their fresh, innovative sound to the audiences at NextFest at the LA County Fair 2022. Since then, MYRANDAS have performed as a trio alongside Cuban-Puerto Rican percussionist Richard Herrera at popular tropical, dance, and Afro-Latin music events, including Subsuelo and La Junta.

On November 3rd, the LA-based Latin Urban band MYRANDAS are set to captivate audiences once again with the release of their new single "Con Una Flor." This release follows the band’s Spanish debut, 'Cuando Te Vi,' and pushes the boundaries of their new sound even further.

Originally founded in Havana by the trilingual vocalist Kristina Miranda and Cuban guitarist/Grammy-winning engineer Marciel Miranda, the band continue to redefine their sound, exploring the Urbano genre. This love-infused track effortlessly merges trap rhythmic elements with Latin pop, laced with indie rock, and brings a unique music experience to listeners.

The evolution of MYRANDAS is palpable in this release. Building upon the success of their single 'Cuando Te Vi,' which garnered support from notable publications such as Lefuturewave, Roadie Music, and Bravo Revista, the band demonstrate their commitment to innovation with “Con Una Flor.” This single marks a pivotal moment for the project, as Marciel (guitarist/music producer) lends his vocals for the first time in this release, unlocking new creative possibilities.

When speaking more on "Con Una Flor," MYRANDAS explained: We named the song based on the lyrics "Por ti yo voy a la luna y volvería con una flor" (For you, I would go to the moon and return with a flower."). We wanted to capture the essence of a love so powerful that it dares to dream the impossible. We threw both of our voices into the mix – to add that playful and heartfelt emotion, and this little experiment has opened a whole new path to uncharted artistic territories for our band!"

In support of the single, MYRANDAS will perform at the Canoga Park Dia De Los Muertos Festival on November 5th and share a music video later this month. Kristina and Marciel's captivating voices and fresh instrumentation create a vibrant and emotional performance. Alongside Cuban-Puerto Rican percussionist Richard Herrera, they offer a distinct take on the Urbano genre. On January 12th, the Latin urban band MYRANDAS returns with their electrifying new single, 'Cuéntale.' This sensual track is a fusion of Caribbean grooves and electronic chill vibes and brings a refreshing experience not only to listeners but also to the viewers of the telenovela ‘Viceversa’ that premiered on Cuban television in December.

Written by a trilingual singer of Armenian origin, Kristina Miranda, and produced by Cuban guitarist/Grammy award-winning engineer Marciel Miranda, the new song has become one of the main soundtracks of the anticipated telenovela directed by Loisys Inclán. Selected by the music supervisor and composer Ernesto Blanco, 'Cuéntale' now echoes in the homes of millions every week, marking an exciting milestone for the track. This playful single about temptation and passion supports one of the storylines. 

After receiving support from publications such as Hola! USA, Lefuturewave, Voyage LA, End Sessions, and Freim TV for their previous release, ‘Con Una Flor,’ the band wanted to explore their new sound further. Scheduled for release on February 23rd, this song marks MYRANDAS' first venture into perreo territory—a magnetic fusion of infectious beats and undeniable energy. MYRANDAS is a Latin Urban band based in Los Angeles, created in Havana by Armenian singer Kristina Miranda and Cuban guitarist/ Grammy-winning engineer Marciel Miranda. The duo began as a rock project, gaining a devoted fan base. However, in 2022, they embarked on a journey of rediscovering their musical identity and embracing Caribbean culture in their music. The band blends Latin grooves, catchy guitar riffs, pop, and electronic music elements, offering a fresh perspective on the Urbano genre. The current lineup includes Cuban-Puerto Rican percussionist Richard Herrera.

The story of MYRANDAS started in 2009 when Kristina arrived in Cuba to record her solo album. At the recording studio, she crossed paths with Marciel, and their encounter sparked both a creative partnership and a love story. In 2010, Kristina left her hometown in Moscow, Russia, to join forces with Marciel in Havana, forming the core of their musical project. By the end of 2015, the band began attracting media attention and earned opportunities to perform at notable events like the Havana World Music Festival. Their music also garnered them a nomination for Best Rock Band of Cuba at the "Cuerda Viva" Awards.

In 2016, MYRANDAS decided to take their music overseas, settling in the city of Los Angeles. Their debut show took place at the Last Frame of Sand movie fundraiser, where they opened for Stanley Clarke. Over the following years, they performed at renowned LA venues and participated in local festivals, including Echo Park Rising and Mar Vista Music & Art Walk.

In 2020, the couple started to bring awareness to the situation in Cuba through their music. In December, the duo released their single "90 Miles," mixed by Grammy-winning producer Jacquire King. The song referenced the distance between the US and Cuba, reflecting the strained political relations between the two countries. In July of 2021, they released “Home” to shine more light on the situation on the island. The song featured the remarkable talents of Matt Bissonette (Elton John, Ringo Starr) and Christian Paschall (Maren Morris, David Crowder).

Known for their rebellious rock songs, MYRANDAS (aka High Grass) received recognition in publications like Rolling Stone and Buzzbands LA, while also gaining support from Planet Rock, Maxim Rock radio stations, and many more.
