Comme l’année passée, Myrce a fait un choix de quelque sons qu’il a publiés pendant l’année 2024. Beaucoup de vibes sombre et profondes, mais une rage inébranlable. On y entend sa rage de vaincre camouflée sous des “sur-mesures” et des faux pas qui l’ont aidé a grandir dans la musique et à traduire son quotidien de lutte en musiques fortes avec un sens puissant. Bienvenue dans la vibe de Myrce en 2024 !!

  They contaminate, discriminate, and revel in their sleaze 
  the permafrost is lost, but we still have the wage freeze 

the bankers are all bigots, experts in exploitation 
oil tankers and their frigates reeking eco-devastation
while we reimburse the nurses with the joy of food banks 
and the curse of empty purses and our hollow huge thanks

The CEOs who freely chose to bolster their careers 
They’re mosquitoes in tuxedos bloodsucking profiteers

  The ambulance abandoned us, so now we need a hearse
  Yes the times they are a-changing… but they’re changing for the worse

I blame the vloggers and the bloggers, I don’t “like” and I don’t “subscribe”
All that scrolling and a trolling, through soundbites and diatribes
and we fixate on the clickbait that seems to be hell-bent 
on dictating that the content fuels our discontent 

        All the species being ghosted, wiped out like dinosaurs
        While we’re busy being offended, and fighting culture wars

Shopaholic fashionistas with their selfies and their memes 
And reams of influencers beat us senseless by extremes
it’s a trash-bag full of hashtags, rubbish flowing in our streams
algorithms causing schisms and addiction to our screens

        We’re the masters of our destiny, but it isn’t as it seems 
        Who’s pushing who’s buttons? Are we slaves to the machines?

Narcissistic mystics with their conspiracy theories
Going viral in a spiral of Netflix mini series
And woeful social media, where profiles are a deepfake
It’s a form of schizophrenia, like a hollywood remake

      We make a virtue of our vanity, embracing the absurd
      with virtual reality, to replace the real world

“Where Am I” sorti dans l’album “Away” né d’une ambiance mystique et novatrice entre sa guitare exotique et son atmosphère mystérieuse, je voulais vous offrir un son qui vous fais voyager dans vos émotions tout en commençant par le début. 

J’ai décidé de la rallonger car j’étais déçu de ne pas l’avoir fait avant. C’est un son qui vous transporte de votre quotidien vers une certaine vibe lunaire et atypique. Dans sa première version, j’ai terminé sur les kicks superposés sans imaginer que la fin pouvait être décevante… 

Voici donc la version complète et finale de ce son que j’apprécie particulièrement 🩶

Where Am I (Extended)

This is a piece I composed 4 years ago, my last year I was living in Greece. It sounds like a piano etude for fast arpeggios in impressionistic style. As always water is the dominant element in my compositions. There is a small surprise somewhere in this piece.

It is an old recording. Probably, I recorded it with my phone. Thus, I would like to apologize if the quality of sound is not good enough. However, I think that it deserves a place in my collection of improvisations.

A Classic Hit, Reimagined with 50s Nostalgia

In the 1950s, many hit songs were well less than 3 minutes, making them perfect for radio play. OMGG Band has faithfully recreated this tradition with their mixed lyrics version of "Sherry" keeping it concise, heartfelt, and true to the golden era of rock 'n' roll.

"Sherry," originally made famous by The Four Seasons, is known for its high-falsetto vocals and early rock energy. But what if this classic had been imagined differently?

OMGG Band’s version transforms it into a dreamy, slow-dance ballad, inspired by the timeless doo-wop sound of "Earth Angel" by The Starlighters. Gone are the soaring falsettos—replaced with a warm, intimate performance that captures the romance of 1950s dance halls and jukebox nostalgia.

Vocals by OMGG Band’s own Gigi, delivering a heartfelt, vintage-style performance.

Featuring a smooth saxophone solo and electric guitar lead to enhance the classic 50s romance.
Vintage-style sound mixing by Studio 740 in Helsinki, keeping it slightly raw to give a sense of time’s effect on the recording.

We didn’t aim for an overly polished studio sound, instead choosing to preserve a natural, slightly rough feel—as if this track had been played over the years, carrying with it the warmth and charm of the era it belongs to.
