the original was a wonderful mix and improvisations on its own...loads of space for the extraordinary vocal performances and layering/mixing that lifted this to another level of artful expression. Just a fascinating/enthralling listening experience...feel like I'm in the front of a small jazz venue, soaking it all in and, like a sipped scotch, it sings all the way down ! :)

What a great vibe and performance, enjoyed my visit to this exciting, smoky bar...

idematoa - Furore che sogna (Marco Lucchi)

ON|RUST as it appears here on soundcloud is the first stage of a small project that is actually called O|N|RUST consists of this track, plus a Bandcamp version (January 2024 - supplemented with two short pieces for percussion and electronics) and a 2024 small scale vinyl release. I've built a number of rhythmic sound machines especially for this piece which mainly consists of the hum and interference of electrical equipment supplemented with an electric guitar drone. Mastered by Rupert Clervaux.

Urmitz, ein kleiner Ort in der nähe von Koblenz, im Mittelrheintal. Es ist früh am Morgen. Die Sonne ist gerade aufgegangen und vertreibt den noch im Tal liegen Frühnebel.

Bei der Entstehung dieses Songs hatte ich von Anfang an dieses Bild im Kopf, das ich, vor etwas mehr als 10Jahren, in der Morgenstunde aufgenommen habe.

Mit der Umsetzung des Songs hab ich mich dieses mal schwer getan, da ich sehr lange an dem Mix gearbeitet habe. Ich wünschte ich hätte zwei gesunde Ohren. Ich hoffe trotzdem, das ihr viel Spaß beim hören habt.

English translation:
Urmitz, a small village near Koblenz, in the Middle Rhine Valley. It is early in the morning. The sun has just risen and is dispersing the early morning mist still lying in the valley.

When I wrote this song, I had this picture in my head from the very beginning, which I took more than 10 years ago in the early morning.

I had a hard time with the realization of the song this time, because I worked on the mix for a very long time. I wish I had two healthy ears. I hope you enjoy listening to it anyway.
