I built this mix to suit any moment of the day: poolside chills, midnight moonrings, pink-blue sunsets, and dreamy starry skies.

Desde Chile llega Matanza con su electrónica lúdica que no sólo mezcla ritmos folk y tribales con otros más urbanos y sintéticos, también mantiene una rica paleta de sonidos que parecen originarse en maderas, cueros, vientos y metales --epítome del ecléctico mix de instrumentos acústicos con sintetizadores; toda una polifonía de materiales y texturas que crean una agua cristalina, llena de amplitud, que nunca se desborda.
Matanza crea espacios lo mismo para bailar intensamente que para divagar en contemplaciones metafísicas, para relajarse y salirse de la autopista. Podemos sumar a Matanza a las propuestas que fusionan ritmos ancestrales locales con las punzadas de la música global de una escena electrónica que permea a todas las grandes urbes. This year's summer solstice was really unique as it was also the exact time of the great conjunction of our 2 gassy planets, Jupiter and Saturn. It was also my first time facilitating an expressive movement class. A dance practice I have been involved in for some time, and true to form, the skies did not disappoint as all the dancers gathered that day. We were presented with an amazing viewing of the 2 giants coming into unison in the night sky above us. A once in a lifetime experience. Thank you all for joining me on my maiden voyage that special evening. Enjoy, and feel free to dance to this set - may it take you here, as prepared and open as you can be :)
