Samā‘ (from Turkish semâ) refers to spiritual hearing. It also refers to a roundabout dance of Sufi whirling dervishes. ACOUSTIC SPIRAL: The performance consists of a spinning loudspeaker that release drones in order to sculpt the sound space. These continuous sounds are developed beforehand in situ, depending on the resonance of the room. The spin draws an invisible spiral with the speed and length of cable given by the performer while revealing the acoustic properties of the place.

Pour cette deuxième émission, Cinetika adapte musicalement le sulfureux "Showgirls", film maudit de Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, Starship Troopers).

On y suit la trajectoire de Nomi, véritable feu follet, danseuse incontrôlable essayant de faire sa place à Las Vegas, en perpétuelle lutte avec des figures masculines dangereuses et toxiques.
Le film ne cesse de jouer à l'équilibriste, aussi bien provocant et vulgaire que touchant et ironique. J'ai essayé de retranscrire l'atmosphère de ce film et cette balance en alternant le kitch et l'émotion, le downtempo langoureux et la trance délicieusement 90s."

Cinetika ⏤ Showgirls

Track 1: "From the Depths Below"
The Kraken awakens deep beneath the sea and begins to move towards the surface, its massive tentacles propelling it forward. As it emerges from the depths, the sea around it churns and boils.

Track 2: "Foaming Crests"
The Kraken reaches the surface and begins its journey towards the mainland. Its massive form causes foaming crests to form in its wake, and it leaves a trail of destruction as it moves through the water.

Track 3: "Into the Wilderness"
The Kraken crosses dark forests and discovers a vast valley, where it explores a river and a waterfall. It decides to continue its journey by going up a mountain in pursuit of the great river.

Track 4: "Transitions into the Unknown"
The Kraken suddenly encounters a train track and enters human civilization. The music transitions to oriental rhythms as the Kraken navigates through the bustling city, seeing new sights and experiencing new sounds.

Track 5: "Chaos in the Concrete Jungle"
The Kraken arrives in an industrial city and is overwhelmed by the noise and chaos of the concrete jungle. The twisting industrial sounds and dark beats on this track depict the Kraken's struggle to make sense of the human world.

Track 6: "Inner Struggles"
The Kraken seeks refuge in a factory, where it takes a moment to reflect on the human civilization, it has encountered and the challenges it has faced. The prime of the album, this track features fine dark beats with twisted industrial sounds that portray the Kraken's inner turmoil and struggles.

Track 7: "Dance of the Kraken"
The Kraken emerges from the factory and enters the heart of the city, where it is welcomed with festive dancing and celebration. The Kraken has overcome its inner struggles and found its place in the human world. This final track features upbeat and celebratory music that captures the Kraken's joy and triumph.

Bercée très tôt par la techno emprunte de mélodies comme celle de Moby, Paul Kalkbrenner ou Dusty Kid, AMAYO s'est rapidement tournée vers des rythmes plus rapides et plus colorés, incarnés par la trance, la drum n bass ou la techno industrielle. C'est plus tard que son spectre musical s'est éclairci, pour faire entrer la micro, la house et l'italo disco dans ses playlists. 

C'est aujourd'hui dans un set 100% teuf, 100% meufs que AMAYO vous dévoile sa sélection de pépites house aux pointes de techno, de break, et bien sûr, d'acid.

Soucieuse de faire passer un message à travers ce set, AMAYO s'est associée au producteur et beatmaker KÅM pour composer un tout premier morceau à quatre mains, ""La Culpa"". Pour composer cette track, ils ont samplé les voix puissantes des femmes chiliennes qui ont fait le tour de la planète en 2019 et qui sont malheureusement encore trop d'actualité. Le set se termine par ce morceau, pour dénoncer les violences de genre, soutenir les victimes et rappeler à tous.tes que la lutte continue.

Dream Catalogue is a sonic project with the goal to research neuroscientifically and sociologically dream accumulated experiences, or dreams which have their internal memory based on previous episodes.

The soundscapes are based on collected voice narrative of dreams. All narratives were grouped into categories and subcategories. Each category specifically coded and named with its code.

Bienvenue sur le compte officiel de l’Atelier des artistes en exil.

L’atelier des artistes en exil (aa-e) se donne pour mission d’identifier des artistes en exil de toutes origines, toutes disciplines confondues, de les accompagner en fonction de leur situation et de leurs besoins, de leur offrir des espaces de travail et de les mettre en relation avec les réseaux professionnels (français et européen), afin de leur procurer les moyens d’éprouver leur pratique et de se restructurer. L’atelier des artistes en exil répond à des demandes de programmation et développe ses propres événements, dont les « Party en exil » et le festival pluridisciplinaire, Visions d’exil, en co-construction avec des lieux partenaires.
