Astroloop is more than just a musical project; it's the brainchild of a passionate artist named Gabriele Lori, whose love affair with the diverse realms of electronic music runs deep. Nestled within the vibrant tapestry of the Feste Preziose festival, Gabriele assumes the role of a resident DJ, seeking that elusive sweet spot where grooves and melodies intertwine seamlessly. His devotion to the dancefloor is unwavering, yet he keeps an open and dreamy eye on the enchanting world of slow-dance electronic productions.

The journey of Astroloop commenced back in 2017, a path paved with earlier projects, including captivating radioshows and unforgettable nights in pulsating clubs. It all came together with the release of the debut vinyl gem, "Svegsy. EP," which found its home on the legendary Freerange Records, curated by none other than the esteemed Jimpster.

Fast forward to 2023, and Gabriele's artistic voyage took a thrilling leap into the realm of Disco Halal, a realm crafted by the illustrious Moscoman. This adventure followed a string of remarkable musical releases, having left their indelible mark on labels like Curses Ombra International and Modular Project's Nothing is Real.

Astroloop's sonic odyssey continues to evolve, resonating with the hearts of music enthusiasts worldwide, all thanks to the visionary passion and dedication of Gabriele Lori. Counterterraism: October 2023

Heavily influenced by the acid house/rave scene “back in the day” at parties like Resurrection, Awesome 101's & Sweatbox, Rob Murray started his DJ journey with passion and verve. He’d put in the hours practicing at home and played at every party he got the opportunity to. Encouraged by friends to hand out mixes on cassette tapes, his audience soon grew and his name started to become known as a reliable selector by ravers and fellow DJ’s alike. One such follower was Scottish rave heavyweight DJ ZBD who Rob handed a mix tap at their local record shop in Kirkcaldy. Club gigs started to come his way including performances at Meltdown at Carlton Studios. He was on the right track to keep raising his profile but then had to put things on hold when he took on a job that would take him overseas for some time. After a long break Rob Murray is back doing what he loves. With residencies on 4TM and Waves Radio shows he is able to showcase his love for indie dance, acid house, chug and downtempo and his audience is once again growing, as is reputation.

The train chugged its way up the steep, unforgiving grade, its laborious struggle against gravity reminiscent of a man carrying the weight of his past. The sun hung low on the horizon, casting long shadows that stretched across the tracks like ghosts of forgotten moments.

As the locomotive strained against the incline, the rhythm of its laborious ascent echoed the beating of a wounded heart. Each plume of steam that billowed from its stack seemed to carry with it the sighs of weary travelers, seeking to escape the troubles that clung to them like the dust on their coats.

Inside the train's dimly lit cars, passengers sat in silence, their faces etched with the weariness of the journey. They stared out of the windows at the world passing by, a world that seemed to slip further and further away with each laborious revolution of the wheels. The clinking of glasses in the bar car and the occasional whisper of a child in a distant compartment were the only sounds that broke the heavy shroud of melancholy.

The view from the windows offered little solace. The landscape, once lush and green, had turned barren and desolate as the train climbed higher into the mountains. The trees, stripped of their leaves, stood like silent sentinels, their branches reaching out to the sky in a desperate plea for mercy. The air grew colder, and the sun's feeble warmth offered no respite from the chill that had settled into the passengers' bones.

As the train continued its relentless ascent, the weight of its struggle mirrored the burdens of those on board. It was a journey that seemed to have no end, a battle against the forces of nature and the trials of life. And though the passengers had boarded with the hope of finding a brighter horizon, they now found themselves locked in a melancholic embrace with the relentless climb of the train, each click of the tracks marking a moment lost in time.

In the fading light of day, as the train pushed forward, the world outside seemed to fade into a blur of shadows and memories. The chugging of the locomotive became a mournful dirge, a reminder that sometimes, no matter how hard we try, the uphill battle is a journey we must make alone.

@phred-noir is the co-founder & art director of « @la-dame-noir ». Based in Marseille this record label is well known  for running the first venues (Bar & Club) 100% devoted to Dark Disco and Indie Dance from 2009 to FUCKING COVID.

This allowed Phred Noir to play almost everywhere in Europa & Asia and also to share many times the booth with Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier, Red Axes, Pachanga Boys + everybody that counts in this Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene.

This year, Phred Noir has been putting La dame Noir Records back on tracks with releases by daWad, Did Virgo, Aurum & Miss Zagato + starting to produce tracks with daWad, waiting to go back to production with his other project alongside Remain: « Slow Porn ».

Phred Noir also started to promote a weekly residency @ Vice Versa club in Marseille and he is starting to plan a 2024  tour in Mexico & Asia.
