Farewell to the Past

The ‘My Soundtapes’ app was born out of the love for Dancehall music and the great sounds systems that we all have come to know over the years.  From Stone Love, Killamanjaro to Silver Hawk and King Addies and the many more sounds across the globe, the followers of these great sounds have expanded to all the corners of our planet, inspiring many to start their very own sounds.

I use to play sound with my friends for many years, but not to the level of your Stone Love’s or Jaro’s, but always loved the clashing of these big sounds.  I would go as far as saying we were pretty good, just had no dubplates to take it to the next level, but that never stop us really.  Nowadays I like to have friendly 45 clashes with my friends and this keeps my love for the game alive.

The app is now an extension of my love, as I want to share with many others my sound tape collection that goes back 20 years.
