Official remix for the Remix Lab Competition: "Chasing Time". 

Since Azealia is creating a fusion between Modern Rap and Rave elements, I pursued that kinda vibe. 

I mixed Trap and Jersey Club as two coexisting genres with a mystic/dark kind of Vibe, Atmospheric Pad & Synths with some Gospel voicings over the Top. 

The epic House Piano chords are paying homage to that 90's kind of vibe.

In general, I pictured this remix as a duality thing. We have two kinds of Azealia vocals. 

Turn the volume up and bump your speakers.

The main idea is that  I sampled the steams we got to make a different harmony and feel of the song. The steams inspired me, so as Hip-Hop and Jazz in generally.

I've recorded live drums, bass, female vocals and talkbox with a little help of my fellow musicians. 

The remix itself has a warm and creamy vybe with a vintage feel to it. We applied a lot of processing and various effects in the mixing stage to accomplish the timbre of the sound we wanted.

Push up the fader , bust the meter , shake the tweeter, bump it - well !
