Altair, along with Deneb and Vega compose the three bright stars of the Summer Triangle. It is one of the closest stars at only 16.8 light years from Earth and was the subject of the movie Forbidden Planet.
Aquila the Eagle was favored by Zeus with the star Altair as the Eagle’s head, flying eastward through the milky way devouring nearby smaller constellations. Asian mythical stories emerge with Altair the herdsman’s desire to be with his lover Vega but separated by the river of the Milky Way which runs between them. 
This piece represents a soaring eagle with asian flute weaving a melody of a river of stars.
