Inside Out is a brand new series that invites DJs and producers to blur the boundaries between traditional artist albums and mix compilations. Coming from https://soundcloud.com/ausmusic head and DJ-Kicks curator https://soundcloud.com/willsaul  , the concept encourages artists to showcase their own music and or the music of those in their own individual circles. The mix will be release digitally and on CD, while a selection of the tracks will also be available on double gatefold vinyl. Each instalment will feature 100% new and unreleased music. It is a chance for artists to take sole creative charge, A&R as they see fit and then commission brand new music specifically for the cause. Depending on who is at the helm, Inside Out will take different forms: producers may wish to represent their own sound with only music they have made themselves or with close collaborators, while DJs and label heads may wish to reflect the sounds and scenes that surround them. The results will be a window into an artist’s world that works as a coherent mix, but also as a treasure trove of fresh new music that steps outside the usual lines of a dance album. The idea stems from Will Saul’s own approach in the club, which often finds him seeking out brand new and unheard music to play for the first time. That feeling of taking people into the unknown is one that reminds him of the energy and excitement of his early days as a dancer.
"I wanted to try and recreate the feeling I used to get in the 90's when you went clubbing and heard your favourite DJ play but had never heard the vast majority of the tracks he/she was playing,” explains Will. “Your mind would be constantly blown by hearing totally new music for the first time. We've pretty much lost this with the proliferation of online mixes, Shazam, early EP premieres and free streams.”
For Will’s mix he enlists an array of artists who he’s worked with over the years, many of whom have released on one of his labels in that time. These include the likes of Lone, Pearson Sound, https://soundcloud.com/move-d , Gerd, Youandewan, Martyn, Falty DL, Dauwd, Appleblim and Marquis Hawkes.
Will’s mix shows off the many facets of his own DJ sets, productions and labels over the last 15 years. It includes a Floorplan remix of tracks he’s made as Primitive Trust, and a collaboration with Komon on ‘Positive’, a perfect sci-fi house track that surges through the night on a wave of serene synth smears and cosmic melodies. The mix overall exudes a woozy warmth, and ranges from hazy late night house to absorbing passages of sparse dub via rubbery techno rollers and slippery electro. A lot is packed into the trip, making it perfectly fluid and forever on the move. At a time when music is more accessible and available than ever, a strong curatorial ear and expert insight into specific sound worlds has never been more valuable to guide us through the noise. Since the early 90's, the Cologne-based DJ has been standing behind the decks delivering house music in all its varied colours.

In 2001 he began to release EP’s that originally focused on nu-jazz and broken beat vibes before transforming his sound into the modern high-end house that made him and his buddies Dixon and Âme, world famous.

Besides his career as a producer and DJ, he worked (and co-owned) the legendary Groove Attack Records store in Cologne - a place where he studied all sorts of music including reggae in all its dubby variations. How deep it entered his soul can be heard on his latest EP on his label home base, Innervisions. It’s called "Broad Horizons" and features two tracks named "Skango" and "Seen" that melt his passion for dub and reggae uniquely with state-of-the-art house.

For the EDWIN Music Channel this month, Marcus dug deep into his riddim collection and prepared a mix at the Worgulator Studios, that puts the house sound he is famed for aside and instead documents his love for Jamaican music spheres in order to satis-satisfy our souls!

In this years podcast it is all about bringing together melodic electronic music genres i am into. From ambient classical over broken beats and band infused drums to deep and energetic house tunes, analog techno infused sounds and field recording noises. 

The Story of the mix can be imagined as a day and night theme. First getting out of the bed with Max Richter´s great Vivaldi recomposition beginning the day with moody downtempo music and catching up speed during the hours into the afternoon. From there you start to get ready for the evening, meet up with some friends while the mix is changing to a stronger drive transporting you into the night where you are dancing in the club with your friends to energetic tunes and let yourself go till the morning sun rises. The last part is escorting you get back on your way home to fall asleep happily in your bed dreaming about the memories you just experienced. The good thing is you can experience this Mix as many times as you want.

As usual i put a lot of effort in this mix and edited, fused or rearranged songs as well as adding new melodies or drum patterns. Of course you can make your own story with the music and get lost in the 
synergy of the great works by all the artists that made this mix possible with their music.

Albrecht La’Brooy’s Analogue Attic imprint welcomes Citizen Maze onto its roster with the four-track ‘Serenity In The Woods’ EP.
Australian duo Albrecht La’Brooy have been steadily carving out a name for themselves over the past few years with their jazz-inflected take on deep house via the likes of Apollo/R&S, Night Tide and of course their own Analogue Attic imprint which has become a home for their own output as well as fellow Australian artists like Sleep D, Rings Around Saturn and more. Here though we see the label offer up the inaugural EP from Melbourne’s Adam McCoy aka Citizen Maze.
Leading on the package is the ten-minute ‘Natural Playground’, embracing the labels signature field recording background aesthetic whilst stirring in organic drum grooves, fluttering pads and jazzy sax licks throughout. ‘Glade Hollow’ follows with bumpy, off-kilter drums and ethereal chords at its core whilst horn lines and twinkling synth melodies wander across its eight-minute duration.
‘Moonlight Sanctuary’ opens the flip-side, edging into darker territories with murky dubbed out synth flourishes, robust drums and tension building strings before title-track ‘Serenity In The Woods’ rounds out the package, laying focus on a snaking sub bass groove, metallic percussive shuffles and expansive atmospherics.
