With over 10 years of continuously playing underground and mainstream events Nanda has been in and around the epicenter of the Bass music festival culture phenomenon that has grown rapidly on the west coast of America and quickly spread its wings across the globe. In this Psychedelic Jelly episode we can hear a live set from THE MOONRAKERS, two brothers based in and around Bristol, one a multi-instrumentalist and the other a sound design enthusiast. They combine live recordings with digital production, resulting in jazzy psychedelic bass music. They planned to play this live set at Something Different Festival before it got postponed. It includes 3 tracks from their forthcoming EP, as well as an unreleased collab with Jaala.

After almost 10 years of banging my head against the wall that is Drum & Bass, I decided to drop the bpm by 65 and continue making exactly the same kind of music I had always made.

To my delight, i discovered that slower BPMs seemed to attract people with more open minds who were willing to enjoy music for the musical content rather than purely from a production point of view.

Since that moment, i've been thoroughly enjoying creating weird and wonderful beats that hopefully sit in a little niche all of their own.

I imagine a lot of people won't like this niche, but to the people that do like and understand and want to skank to my music.....it's all for you!!
