I was invited to record a set a few weeks ago for Abracadabra's Twitch TV online festival after releasing my track "As long as I breathe" on their "Human Nature" Compilation. If you didn't get a chance to see the live stream... I put a table on a sandbar in the middle of a lagoon in Chacahua, Oaxaca, Mexico, and played for the sunset.... was definitely worth the risk of putting my laptop out there.

This mix is a fusion of deep, provocative tracks as well as some upbeat ethnic vibes from some of my favorite artists, all in the theme of what "Human Nature" means to me.

A big part of my intention in playing and creating the ethnic style of music I do is to inspire people to feel connected to their deep rooted human instincts that are buried beneath the layers of modern societal conditioning.  We're all just animals walking around pretending that we're something greater, and forgetting that we're just as much a part of the web of life and existence as every other being on this planet.

My intentions for 2020.

The past 3 years I was very lucky and very grateful to be part of a beautifully guided temazcal ceremony during the whole night of old into new.

I couldn't think of any other better place to be at New Years evening then in a sweatlodge womb to clear- and purify what we don't need any longer and what we can let go,  
to be born again into the new.

It's always an intense happening in which lots of personal healing and deep insights occur, but it's also a celebration and honoring of Life, Existence and all the Elements, our Ancestors and a way to open the portals of infinity where anything is possible. 

Before we enter the temazcal, we share our intentions in our native tongue with Grandfather Fire, that will warm the stones before they are brought in.

My intentions were - and still are - softness, clarity and peace.

Softness, because I want to invite more softness in my life, both for myself and for those that surround me. Not only in our words but also in deeds. 
Softness and unconditional Love. 
Love, a powerful energy source, the secret ingredient to take care of our world, ourselves and each other.

Clarity, so I can see and act from perspective with a clear open mind and focus on the visions that I want to follow, the choices that I have to make and to stay loyal to my soul, my intuition and mission in life. 

Peace, within myself, with my past and in relation to others. 
With an open heart and peaceful mind to be able to connect and communicate with Love, Integrity, Honesty. Respecting, honoring and supporting eachother in our talents, growth and development. 

We also had a group intention: Manifestation power 
Creating and realizing our intentions for the common good
We have that magic! Guided and powered by Love.

I wonder if you still remember yours?

and to remember ...

Now, at the end of this month, we're still only at the start
of a wonderful year 

Of change and growth
Of letting go
And flying high in the sky

Mystica has a passion for collecting deep soul touching music which she loves to share with the world.

In the 20 years of developing herself as a dj, her style moved from only world music and world beat into a more electronic sound but she always kept the multicultural, natural and mystical sounds in her dj sets. 

Her style now ranges from deep chill, downtempo to world beat /world fusion, melodic deep house to deep tribal- and melodic techno. 

She keeps digging every day, in the ever-flowing river of music, for the most beautiful treasures and latest releases in her genre that she weaves into stories. 

Mystica has played at numerous dance events and parties in Europe. 

Mainly, she is a downtempo, melodic deep house/techno dj, 
but since 2018 she also started to be a dj for conscious dance events like ecstatic dance because she wanted to experiment with the depths and healing that music can bring.

Her very first ecstatic dance dj performance was received very well and since then, she has played at events in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, France, Germany & Switzerland. 

Mystica is here to bring more depth and she always tries her best to touch and trigger all possible feelings and emotions during the dance. 

Not always the most comfortable music, sometimes with a heavy hand, sometimes with a gentle touch, but always exactly that to bring you more to your depths.
