He’s been DJ'ing for almost 20 years, being one of the best Greek Breaks/Techno/Tech-House DJ's. In his portfolio there are appearances in big festivals (Sola Luna, Balkan Voices, Urban Rhythm, Reworks, Butterfly, Spring Festen) alongside Slam, Felix Da Housecat, Dave Angel, Luke Slater, Dominic Eulberg, Modeselektor, Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts), Coldcut, Octave One, Eddie Piller etc, and many venues throughout Greece and Europe. He has done warm-ups to artists likes Rjd2, Thievery Corporation, Richard Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco, Mushroom (Massive Attack), Frank Popp, Bjorn Torske, Bentley’s Rhythm Ace, Snowboy, Hooverphonic etc. He was one of the first radio producers playing Breaks/Drum N' Bass and Electronica in his legendary “Tricknology”, “Brainwash” and “Cinematica Paradiso” radio shows.

Greece is a place of many contradictions. 

A unique piece of land which the ancient Gods of Olympus ruled, a place where the beautiful mountains meet the valleys and the amazing islands in Aegean and Ionian seas. Greece is the place of myths and stories, a place where the ancient civilization meets the modern culture. A place full of music that Orpheus gave to the land when he lived close to Olympus. 

The traditional circle dances of Thrace with gaida and bagpipes, the traditional folk songs of Central, East and West Macedonia with chalkina, trumpets, tympana, clarina and koudounia, the pentatonic and polyphonic songs of Epirus, syrtos and Kalamatianos from Peloponesse, Bouzouki in Attica, the romantic serenades of the Ionian islands with the mandolins and guitars, the amazing rizitika, the lyras and laouto from Crete and many many more. 

This is a mix of Downtempo and Organic-House tracks full of traditional music influences. This is something that uses elements that are great in the past and are still beautiful and emotional in the present. Enjoy!

The focus of Mystical Vision is to bring back and bring forward the power of the mystical path, mysticism to modern music, particular modern electronic music. The essence of mysticism is the search for God and encountering God.

A mystical wave of spiritual power is moving across the cosmos soon to wash upon the shores of our hearts. 🌊❤️🌊 Let us set our hearts aflame with the love that surrounds us and fills us. The message lies within the music. Oh, sacred fire, burn within our souls.

Here, @desertravenmusic has taken us on a powerful, second-straight flow-state journey, giving us an amazing hybrid DJ performance, with live instrumentals beautifully and powerfully woven in to his live DJ set.  The power of the spirit, the heart and soul, is so strong in this deeply mystical journey.

📜 STORY 📜

As before Desert Raven considers this to be a living prayer, a music offering to God and to his people through love.  This particular episode is a prayer for world peace and peace within each man and woman's heart, so that the peace may reign and mankind can walk the high path of love, redeeming his suffering, pain, and loss in a walk towards eternal life with the Mystical Creator of us all.

Desert Raven says that suffering in life can produce great emotional and spiritual and mental healing and growth, in a mystical transformation of the pain and woundedness and death into new life.

The passing of his brother in early 2024 is something that he says catalyzed a massive new phase of personal growth and healing, and in a strange, but holy way, help complete a long period of new growth in which he was becoming tried and tested in the fire of life and being given a deeper, much more mystical daily approach to life, with prayer and time spend descending deeply into his heart, sinking even deeper into God. He began to experience and incredibly new wave of love, for God, for himself, and for others, especially his family.

Love is the mystical answer.

In this growth in the fire, Desert Raven felt that this message and sounds purified and grew very powerful in the spiritual sense. It liberated him in the mind, in order to dive deeper and soar higher in the spirit, in order to organically and healthfully express his mixed emotions of sadness, joy, anger, while still maintaining a humble sense of living and seeking the betterment of the mankind. Suffering and loss can give great music growth and incredible, miraculous expression in art. Desert Raven feels this certainly happened to him.

This is also what gave him the vision for the Mystical Vision podcast.

Now, Desert Raven has forsaken the world and is limited, empty way, and instead embracing the mystlcal path, and let the dynamic spiritual energies of God flow through him naturally and powerfully.

A mystical music with a message of hope, light, courage, life, and love.

For God is love, and love is the most powerful of the universe.

Finally, in his own words, the need for him and other mystical musicians to unite is more important that ever, and this is his message:

🎶🪔🌌🪔🎶 I want to encourage all my fellow mystic musicians to find other mystics. We are in need of each other more than ever. A mystical tribe, nomads of earth and the cosmos, travelling in search of God amidst the sacred mysteries of life, thirsting and hungering for what this mortal world can never give us. Since then, his love for music has flourished, leading him to begin mixing and producing music from various artists upon relocating to Marburg. He particularly focuses on genres like techno, house, psytech, downtempo, and midtempo.

RAAFAT has already graced the stages of renowned clubs and festivals in Holland and Germany, including venues like Weelde Rotterdam, Levantine House with The Garden of Babylon, and Kabinett der Kuriositäten in Frankfurt. Additionally, he has released several works on esteemed labels such as The Garden of Babylon, Katahaifisch, Planet Ibiza, and Cosmovision Records, as well as his own tracks.

His distinctive sound, characterized by luminous synthesizers and profound melodies, evokes deep emotions on the dancefloor.

The storyteller should include mystical sounds throughout, from great ethno-organic, organic house, slowtech, psychill, psydub, psybient, ambient, downtempo, progressive, dubtech, melodic techno, and whatever else encapsulates the otherworldly found in this world. :)

Taking from the mission and success of the Primordial Grooves project, this will take us back to the beginning energies of mankind, thus "primordial" energy. A exploration of the heart and soul and mind and body to find what makes us connected since the very beginning of mankind. What do we share as human beings and various tribes? This energy empowers and also heals us to the core. It is the life force, so the mix will have that original life force and be share in the way of all stories of the ancient storytelling oral tradition, which make up true history that is passed down from generation to generation.  This brings us to our innermost sanctums of our hearts. This brings us to God!
