The Prospect

One life to work, another to dream.  
Dreaming leaves no garbage, working pollutes. 
The earth seems small to us, the mind likes the universe. 
There must be other beings who want to know us. 
We can connect with them by playing in virtual reality. 
Feet on the ruins, looking at other places. 
Illusions and nightmares seemingly under control. 
Meanwhile, something will take over the world or destroy it.

Sometimes a lost suitcase has a more interesting journey than the traveler. I remember flying domestically in Spain and my suitcase going on an extended  journey. It was only found because I remembered my flight from Madrid to Barcelona actually continued to Cairo. After a few missteps I convinced the airline to search at Cairo International and it all ended well, but only one day before I had to leave for home. This track could easily be modified if anybody wants to divert the suitcase to a different pair of countries. Just let me know and I'll send the stems.

The backing is a layered series of experiments in creating textures, primarily using the Noire piano. Helen then improvised a vocal performance we might describe as a dreamlike stream of ideas and motifs. After some initial hesitancy wondering what it was we were creating, we decided we rather liked the end result and thought we'd share it to the cloud.

The Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. A supernova remnant is the structure resulting from the explosion of a star.  The bright light from the supernova explosion that formed the Crab Nebula was observed by Chinese, Japanese, and Arab astronomers in 1054 A.D. The light has since faded and the Crab Nebula is no longer visible without a telescope.  The name comes from William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, who observed the object in 1842 using a 36-inch telescope.  Lord Rosse named the nebula the "Crab" in 1844 because its tentacle-like structure resembled the legs of the crustacean.
