You gotta move …a cover / version of a traditional African-American spiritual song originally made famous by Mississippi Fred McDowell & latterly by the Rolling Stones, et al.

‘The Mississippi Freaks’ were a short-lived first incarnation of this three piece raw energy rhythm & blues outfit that lasted barely a year, only did a handful of gigs, but was great fun and had bags of potential… that this first line-up unfortunately couldn’t really live up to.  The band was formed in the back end of 2011.  By the end of 2012 the energy had gone, replaced by individual philosophical  differences, and with new projects beckoning the ‘Mississippi Freaks’ project was mothballed pending it’s next yet unknown incarnation.

These are some of the rehearsal recordings, many of which are from the initial sessions, recorded in glorious live stereo with a Zoom H1.  Edited and re-mastered by Sack 2015.
