This upload comes with a strange back story I have to share. My partner in Serial Serenity (Josh Taylor) had a mini-stroke a little over a week before the show. For those concerned, he's recovering and in therapy and back at home now.

He and I were so excited to bring our collective project Serial Serenity back to close out the return of the hometown trance show Lucent in San Diego. We spoke and I told him I'd bring the full-on trance energy to the set to show our guests how massive we collectively are. As they say - the show must go on, and I worked hard to craft a mix of tracks I knew would include his energy during my performance.

Turns out, one half of gardenstate (Matt) was so jammed during the set at 3am, he tapped my shoulder and asked if he could B2B with me.

I'm so happy to share the energy and fury that came out of this one. Matt said we could share it as he has never spun at this BPM. Welcome back to the live event world after so long thanks to COVID-19!

So here it is, the final cut of the my remix, my first signed remix, in low quality.  

The track is coming out on solarSwarm Recordings.  It should release in 2011 October.  Keep a mindful eye out for it on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital outlets.  CD singles will also be made available through the Solaris Recordings Shop ran by Solarstone.

J.L. - Music Box(MyStro's Boxed Up Mix) (Low Quality)

So... I don't really know why but I felt like sharing this.  Some of you may remember it.  It's a constructed track from last Summer I made from the Loopmaster's "Late Night Lounge" sample pack.

It's not mastered or anything... just some really basic EQ work.

I don't know what to do with it because I love the vibe in it, but of course none of it isn't loo/sample based.  I may rewrite the piano if i have time into MIDI and experiment with more variation in that.  Suggestions and comments are welcome!

Blissful Wish

This project has a like of its own... enjoy the latest and possibly final take.  I may rest this one after so many months because I feel the idea is done.

I'm using the finishing of this to push me forward for new works.  Feedback appreciated.

Oh, and I suppose if it gets signed I may reveal the title.  No one will probably ever know though, and that's more than fine by me on this Valentine's Day special piece of work.

With that out of the way, I'm Matt... aka MyStro, and this is my little bit of sampling of my future soundscapes and my current world of mixtapes.  It's my sonic excursion to the world, producing mixes I love, songs from the heart and so on.  Its all cliche, but its the honest truth.

In the end, its about my story with the world we share, and how I can share it back... after all, MyStro, the way I see it, is just a flip towards the two world's that should embody any art: "My Story."
