Manuel kam 1994 in Hockenheim zur Welt und fand 2013 zur Technoszene. Er gehört u.a. zu namenhaften Labels, wie ERROR, Techno Allianz, Alice im Technoland und Nuclear Records und hat somit als DJ und Producer eine verdammt starke Support-Gruppe hinter sich.

Ob Köln, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Stuttgart oder Koblenz - SIRO ist deutschlandweit bereits in einigen Städten aufgetreten und hat als Artist mehr als nur das nötige „know-how“. Als gut gebuchter DJ und einer Vielzahl von Producing-Collabs, kann man definitiv behaupten, das Manuel als großer Teil der Szene nicht mehr weg zu denken ist. Er hat sich seinen Weg erkämpft und darf zurecht einen guten Ruf genießen.

Am 15.07.19 wurde sein Edit Track „I See Fire“, von Ed Sheeran & Jasmine Thompson,
vom @Fazemag auf Platz 2 der Must-Plays gekürt.

"Benedikt Frey and Naia d’Alò's Init project received great initial praise through two well conceived pieces for John Talabot's Hivern disco back in 2015. Now the pair are back on Les Disques De La Mort with a four track EP rich with their moody techno delights.

"Stereometric" sees a swollen electric base gently plume as ghostly vox and slowly eroding artefacts are scattered through the mix; landing somewhere between Bay Area minimal wave and the taut techno meanderings of Marcel Dettman. 

"Nuts" is an anthemic slice of darkwave electro; tense, a little bit menacing and cinematic as hell - conjuring images of late night mutant car chases through guttural cityscapes. 

"Wheels" sees us dive down smacked-out electro-post-punk rabbit hole; landing in a drug stained bedsit around Hulme Crescents circa '89 with next doors party still in full swing two days since it began. 

"Mindwork" invites said neighboring crusties to an all-night post-Goa-trance rave up on some moonlit beach and populated by shady drug dealers and Mad Max type characters all locked into its full-throttle stomp. "

Brainchild of Multi Culti A&R, Sascha Funke and Niklas Wandt were introduced by Dreems, who charted a course for the seasoned Berlin-based producer and funky multi-percussionist and singer. 

Wandt was just about to enter the scene forcefully with his collaborative 2LP with Wolf Müller and the debut single of his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icey cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, bowed and scratched percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks. These first efforts were later expanded into joint sessions at Sascha's home studio and, within a few weeks, the journey reached it’s destination: Wibe strasse, Deutschland.

At first glance, they seem an odd couple: a techno veteran of almost thirty years meets a side-burned upstart socialized in Free Jazz and Krautrock. but the shared sonic influences come through in the hypnotic, dubbed-out sound, perhaps rooted in the close connection the two share to the Rheinland region in West Germany, Funke as part of the Kompakt family and Wandt by origin and socialization in the Cologne and Düsseldorf music scene centered around the Salon des Amateurs. Regional flavours, global appeal. Multi Culti, promoting local collaboration, one freaky record at a time.

@HardFist comes back stronger than ever with a sixth release, this time from @Pletnev with a remix from Sascha Funke. Prolific artist and Sinchi Collective member Alex Pletnev has been making music under various aliases and in a number of live bands. The Russian, now settled in Vilnius explores stellar chugging rhythms, afro and oriental vibes for labels like Media Fury and Bahnsteig23 and more atmospheric, dark and industrial EPs on Le Temps Perdu records. This new one is “the tale of an imaginary world, a babel myth of when human beings were together as one because they spoke a single language. It is an allusion of No Border movement supporting freedom of mobility and fighting human immigration control.”

This fantastic release is the most club focussed music Pletnev have produced. ‘Peep of Dawn,’ is an almost frightening, long and slow ceremony of menacing electronic music. A voice resonates while powerful bass sends shivers down your spine and the whole atmospheric and absorbing affair really casts a spell.

Once again here, the Hard Fist label, which has its own residency at Paris’s mighty Rex Club—tells its unique story with forward thinking club music full of a wide array of influences.
