Oh, this was an emotional one to write.. It takes me all the way back to childhood. The wounds came out very powerfully through this one. The child of me that just wanted to feel loved and accepted as she was.. If you ever had a family member or someone in your life who tried to mold you into who they wanted you to be, I see you, and this is for you.

Individuality should be celebrated. It’s important to recognize that no child is alike and molding our children into what is considered “normal” in society is harmful. Wounds from childhood are hard to heal and can take a very long time as adults. Children are sensitive, fragile, and take things to heart. Let them grow up at their own pace. Trust that they will..

Please, never tell your child that no one will accept them for who they are. Instead of forcing them to grow up because of fear they will be bullied, lift them up and teach them to love themselves and not care about what others think. The things that children tend to be bullied for as kids are often their most amazing talents, quirks, and features as adults. 💙
