As Afterhour Sounds, we have made it our mission to always think outside the box. So it's certainly no surprise that today we landed in Boston / USA at the afterhour there, to which Eartha Harris / Living Light invited us.

We've had the fascinating and enterprising American on our radar for quite some time now. Since her premiere "Mirrors" (https://soundcloud.com/afterhour-sounds/premiere-eartha-harris-mirror-suit-sofa-beats?in=livinglight/sets/mirror-suit-featuring-bluetech) about 2 years ago, we are totally convinced of her sound. 

Somewhere between dreamy, melodic, but always driving music, she provides the listener with constant goosebumps. Both at home and in the club. Her mixes also have a clear thread, which is reflected in their structure, stylistic coherence and a fluid groove. She herself describes her project Eartha Harris as a mixture of ethno and melodic techno. No matter how you categorise and describe it, one thing becomes clear pretty quickly when listening to it. She knows her craft. No wonder. The American has been an integral part of the local electronic scene for over two decades. She is on the road both as a solo artist and as a band keyboarder.

Besides many unknown but wonderful tracks, she has also included one of her upcoming releases, which you should not miss. Also, be sure to check out her other project Living Light (https://soundcloud.com/livinglight), in which she very successfully dedicates herself to psychedelic dub. It's amazing what a broad spectrum of electronic dance music she serves. Be curious.

Definitely a podcast that should find its place in every electronic music playlist. Whether day or night, dance or dream... this music always works. Promise.

Combining an old school approach to mixing and a deep-rooted musical intellect, Mitch has been rocking dancefloors for over a decade. Performing since 2008 and now a staple in the East Coast Canadian psytrance/psytech scene, his sets are known for taking listeners on a harmonically smooth, complex and uplifting journey. Mythrophan plays a versatile range of intelligent psytrance, from minimal/bush progressive to deep/melodic twilight. You can also catch him spinning psytech/techno under his Mythro alias, or creating his own rhythms as one half of the prog-tech duo MYDÄ. Mitch is also co-founder of Space GOAt and a former resident of Architextures, where he organizes and performs at events regularly in his hometown of Toronto.

He has played at several outdoor festivals across Eastern Canada and US, such as Eclipse Festival 2012/14/16/18/22 (Quebec), Fractalfest 2016 (New York), Harvest Festival 2013 (Ontario), OpenMind Festival 2011/13 (Quebec), Timeless Festival 2016/17/19 (Quebec), Solstice Festival 2012/13/14/16/17 (Ontario) and All Stars Festival 2013/15 (Ontario).
