Allure

Johnathan Thomas has always felt a need to experiment with several genres in order to grow and find comfort zones within music. He’s recently been influenced by various sounds ranging from the most hype jersey bounce tracks to extremely dark and cinematic club creations.

Invasive is definitely a darker effort made to fit xenonyms’ late night vibes and for this release he has enlisted some of his favorite lesser known producers, in and outside of the club realm, to put together some eclectic remixes and gain the attention and love of most people who appreciate and listen to these heavier, hypnotic genres.

A perfect object only you know the depth of
An intangible boundary whose shape you don’t know how to draw

A spider web’s presence revealed only once it sticks to your skin as you walk through it
Its outline glowing from behind your eyelids only when the threshold is crossed, too late to protect.

A well within you empties slowly, you pull from it to water those who show you their thirst
The river that fills the well has stopped running, or doesn’t run fast enough to catch up.

Shallow pools form in secret places to let you know how close you are to being empty
You wait while the well becomes full again

You learn over and over again to recognize when the river starts to thin
To know the weight of the well and how it sits against your spine when it is full   
Hidden, quiet, it is patient
A perfect object only you know the depth of

xenonyms’ newest compilation, Grafts (Ka’an), attempts to guide the listener through the internal and external chaos that each of us experience in different aspects of our day to day lives. 

Composed of tracks that navigate a variety of genres, it stays true to xenonyms’ main goal of not commiting to one trademark style or sound alone, offering instead an experience where anyone can find something to their liking. 

Released exactly two years after our debut double compilation DISRUPT​[​A] / UPHEAVE​[​​B], this new collection of tracks is hoping to showcase the exciting experimental sounds of all these amazing producers from around the world who have contributed with a piece of themselves to this ever-growing project. 

All tracks composed, mixed and mastered by their respective producers except for tracks 5, 7, 10, 12, 13 and 14, mastered by Seapoint.
