The Enabler & The Enabled - This was one of the first ideas for the album, I wrote this one with no intention of having it on an album, it was just something I started for fun, and it started out as the original drop, which was based around those bright chords. Then it sat as that idea for months on my hard-drive until I got the idea to chop up a bunch of random vocal acapellas and add the jazzy chords over them for the initial breakdown and write the second half of the track. It was at that point that I thought I was onto some sort of cool sounding idea and proceeded with the idea of the album!

A Simple Song - When I began writing this track, I just wanted to experiment with syncopation a bit (read more about what that is here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syncopation) however, after I started it, I decided I wanted to make it an album track, and therefore started adding things like chopped vocals & nice chords to help it fit the aesthetic of the album. Following this I wrote Vitality (which acts as a prequel to this song).

Also - I legitimately think that this is a simple song, the track title is not supposed to be ironic, I've already had a few people tell me that they think it's really technical, but it's really not, it's just a little bit syncopated, I feel like melodically & structurally it's actually very simple.
