This is a new version of a remix I did way back in 1998 or 99... The original version of this was done on ACID Pro and took me ages to get right (and still sounds hideous to my ears) compared to this version that I did from scratch in Ableton and took me a couple of hours. I've replaced the drum track with something that I've liberally borrowed (i.e. stolen completely) to make this something more in line with what I play these days as the original remix was meant to be a house remix.

I shared the original with other DJ's back in 1999 and It was leaked to the internet without my knowledge or my name attached (which may have been a blessing really). It is still strange to hear the original remix being played in weird places like at the Olympic games or in videos on Youtube especially when I know that it came from my crappy pc in the loungeroom of my old flat that could barely cope with running ACID Pro....ah well...enjoy.

SMALL RAVE MIX - 7/16/19

Myyuh (pronounced Myy-yuh) is a New York based DJ and multidisciplinary artist. Sets include a unique blend of African, Arabic, Latin, Funky house, Breaks, and R&B. 

Myyuh is the co-founder and co-curator of HAZA, a dance party and radio show that spotlights talent and music from the Southwest Asian and African diasporas. Myyuh is also a resident DJ with NYC's Reprieve Party, a substance free dance party.
