Memories of 92'

I made this for my girlfriend's birthday. 

Our older daughter Kurmi was the driving force for this song.

I sometimes record her when she sings. And in this case it was a recording of us all when we sang and danced.

It was my pleasure to create this one. 

I'm so thankful for my beautiful family.

HipHop is part of my musically-roots.

And I mean the real HipHop that it was in the beginning. With it's true lyrics, the scratching, dancing and graffiti art. The sharing & pushing of each other in life. 

Not just of how much money someone's got or driving big cars full of naked women, with bling bling and guns everywhere. And not to forget the horrible auto-tune-effect you can hear in the voice of every second song. 

Toady's HipHop we can't compare with the one it was in the early days. 
And I have a few memories of times like this:

"Once upon a time two little boys from the same neighborhood heard a track called 'Run DMC - It's like that' through an old JBL Ghettoblaster. 
Even if they didn't understand all the lyrics at this time, they were so excited of the huge sound which was coming out of the speakers. They listened it so loud that their mother told them to turn it down. 
(I think it was the remix-version of Jason Nevins with more bass!) 
Anyway, they really enjoyed hearing this song, even years later.
So they decided to create their own music in programs like Music Maker, E-Jay or FruityLoops in the early 2000'."


This story and my inspiration of making this track here, is because of that good old friend with whom I listened to that song in his child's room. 
He's getting 30 Years today and I want to thank him with a little present. 
... and here it is! 🎉

Thank you for the long time of friendship and the countless memories that we share until now.
Even if we don't always go the same way in life, we go through the same way of life. 
- we live until we die - 

For me, the most important thing in a friendship is to hear each other and help when we get stuck. And that's what you did many times in my life. 
I'm glad for met you.

Apu (Quechua) = Spirit of the Mountain

This track is inspired by a mountain hike. (&mushrooms)

The indigenous people here in the Sacred Valley of Peru call this Mountain "Apu Ch'eqta Qaqa" which means "split rock". 

The story says that the stone was split in two by a thunderbolt.

All in One (Collaborative Conciousness) 

On the occasion of the winter solstice, I am now publishing the work of the last 3 months with great respect, which was only possible with the help of friends.

The idea came from a thought I once had:
"How about if I send everyone a piece of music that I produced exactly the same way and leave the rest to each individual?!"

So I've invited a few people and left this track to everyone.  What came out in the end is from (almost) everyone a finished track and the mix I created. 
And here it is: All in One!

The audio of the outro comes from a German old Americanist and ethnologist who recently switched dimensions.  His area of  expertise was research into the ethnomedical and ritual uses of plants and mushrooms, particularly the cultural use of psychoactive plants and mushrooms in shamanism.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed.  I was able to learn a lot about mixing and had a lot of fun working with you all!  :)
