Though she stands just 5 feet tall, the phenomenon known as BJ dominates a presence and persona that appears well beyond her tiny frame. She was exposed to hip hop music at an early age, with a host of family members who were songwriters and poets. Music was never far from BJ’s mind, even at school; teachers would catch her free-styling under her breath during classes, but encouraged her talent.
