This mixtape took a while. Sometimes my own standard seems to be too high to reach, so I try again and again until I’m satisfied with the story. With this one, I really am.
I’m absolutely thankful that I have the privilege to find and share music from all over the globe. Through music, on the one hand I feel more connected to the world and all its weird and overwhelming moods, and to its sad and also horrible stories. On the other hand it reminds me of my responsibilities for the world as someone from the richest countries of the global north.

Sarao Start with a very spontaneous conversation about our thoughts how the Plante is doing, so I took my handy recorder and I start to record to Don Julio Moncada the last part of his opinion; - He talks about a special place where he is from; where the sing of the birds over the treetops delight the landscape and how the evolution of the city is trying to kill all these beautiful places and our environment … finishing with a strong: “Everyone has a propose in this world, do you know what is yours?” … that was my second day on Mexico …  
The birds were recorded at Sacbé it is in Playa del Carmen, México. Sacbé means white roads/trails, these roads are where the Shamans were to heal people with rituals like Temazcales (very powerful steaming sauna from the Prehispanic times) and other rituals what include sacred plans and so on... that roads was like healing trails on the Mayan Civilisation. The crickets sound from the last part of Sarao was a record on a full moon walking on Sacbé and I finish totally lost in the jungle, so I press REC and keep walking looking for my house… 

Sarao Starts with early birds and finishes with me lost in the jungle on Sacbé… make complete sense for me …   

The tracks where composed during my different Tours in the 2017, what will be released in the next month…

“El Viaje Remixed” EP is a reinterpretation of Joaquin Cornejo’s debut EP done by 7 producers with diverse approaches and sound palettes. The result is an incredibly eclectic reimagination of the original organic downtempo piece. ��It includes remixes by recognised producers such as Steffen Kirchhoff, San Ignacio , Eduardo Zambrano and Felipe Granda. At the same time it introduces emerging artists from the Manchester music scene such as the incredibly talented SonOfCushi, the wonderful Mola Mola duo and the amazing musician and producer HERMANITO who also plays violin a lot of Joaquin’s music such as ‘Cumbia a la Luna’ and ‘Brisa’. Every single remix is unique and expands the music of the original EP into new wonderful grounds.��“El Viaje Remixed” EP es una reinterpretación del primer EP de Joaquín Cornejo hecha por 7 productores con muy diversos estilos y enfoques. Ethno fusion explorations (live Downtempo set)

Rahel is a DJ, creative educator and event manager. Her musical style and taste is eclectically evolving, tailored to the moment covering many genres of house music - her true love. Rahel plays to the moment and from the heart and her sets incorporate deep, tribal, funky, progressive, Latin, bass, world, tech and organic. 

She is known for ample dollops of driving bass lines amidst eclectic vocal samples and atmospheric builds ~ inspired by the way language touches and moves us. 

In 2023, Rahel co-birthed a new high vibration event, Mystic Valley, with her production partner Corqi. They ran their first multi day festival with Sacred Hearts at NYE 2023/4 and have ran multiple sell-out events. 

In 2024, they moved into the space of Regenerative Culture Campouts and this included a micro burn for the soul, Pre Genesis, run at a beautiful private property late 2024. A passionate community builder and lover of all things creative, Mystic Valley is planning more creative collaborations in the regenerative culture space for 2025. 

Rahel plays regularly around the Tweed and Byron Bay shire at boutique events and festivals, including Mystic Valley, Balcony Beats, Nudge Nudge, Sacred Hearts and they collab with Lab Leaked Beats in a separate project called Wild Rumpus. 

She has been fortunate enough grace stages at Earth Frequency, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Love Camp, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink and Clitoverse and opened as a support act for Mood Swing and Chevy Bass and Uone.
