N.E.F was born and grew up in the neighborhoods of East Oakland California. He is 1/4 of the super group Black Collar Hustlaz and he is also 1/3 of the group Maney Funk. He was interested in rap from a young age, listening to 2Pac, Scarface, Too Short, C-Bo, 3xKrazy, Luniz and other westcoast artist. He had already adapted the name Nef., a reference by his uncle, which would shorten the phrase Nephew. With there being so many artists going by the name Nef, the acronym N.E.F ( for Never Ending Factor ) was created to stand him apart from the rest. With an unique sound N.E.F is standing up to his competitors bringing mainstream, underground and trap music back from its dismal “hook and beat ” stance applying toe tapping lyrics that get your mind motivated keeping it one hundred percent real for the streets.
