G'day! I am elated to finally be sharing with you my remix of Hedflux's 2012 track 'Diversion'. This remix has been through ALOT of different permutations over the course of its creation. I knew I wanted to do something slightly out of the norm with the parts, but wasn't sure what until i'd made about 4 different variants of the same track, and eventually glued my favourite parts together.

This is my first ever remix for Steve, it was such a pleasure to remix the man that got me started on this kind of music. He originally asked me to have a crack at 'Mindcell', but I wimped out haha.

This remix will be coming out on Hedflux's very own label, (LUMINUS) as part of the Hedflux Remixed series. There's some seriously cool remixes to come from some of the best producers around, so i'm psyched to be a part of it.

As I was making the track, the vibe that came out was a sort of battle between a fiery monster and one of its cave-dwelling neighbours... as cheesy as that may sound :)

Kind of took me back to when I saw Pokemon S1E59 as a kid.

"ASCENSION" is the debut album release from artist ston, an independently released project. 

For Ascension, I set out to explore hard house, bassline, and electronic elements throughout.

This body of work means a lot to me—it took up six months of my life and taught me so much about music production. It also taught me the importance of committing to what you set out to achieve and the struggles that can come with that. Most importantly, it showed me that imperfection is okay when the alternative is procrastination.

I created this album using the DAW FL Studio, and as of its release, I’ve begun transitioning to Ableton—a commitment I set for myself when I first began this project.
Through this experience, I’ve learned that moving forward, I want to dive into more intricate ideas and trust my creative process without falling into the trap of comparing my work to others. I’m eager to experiment with more abstract percussions, deeper emotional progressions, and unconventional grooves. It’s going to be a journey, but I’m excited for it to begin.

A “Nixie”, according to Scandinavian folklore, is a shapeshifting water spirit. Disguised as human, Nixie’s were known for playing enchanting music to lure people into their lakes, streams and waterfalls where they would proceed to drown them. 

NIXIE is an enchanting character who fancies the faster hypnotic flavours, as well as the whomp and chunk in all things bass, whilst luring in her audience with the perfect slice of cheese that you just can’t seem to pass up on. Encapsulating those that she dances with, NIXIE’s loving and playful energy fuses her to that relationship formed with those sharing the experience. She is brave and unique in her approach to entertaining her environments and her specialities come in many forms of delicious bass, drum & bass and techno. 

NIXIE has been asked to close many a festival, bringing a big emotional moment to both large and intimate audiences like Dragon Dreaming Festival, Free Range, Convergence and Roots. Moving hearts and hips is her strong suit and she has become a well loved local act at doofs and underground parties in both NSW and interstate including; Chinese Laundry, Burning Seed, Church of Techno, Bass Camp, Art Valley, Soul Synthesis, Calyx & more. 

Along with this she is well-known for her project ‘DOUBLE DIP’, partnering in crime with ‘FUNCLE’, these two have headlined several events in NSW the past year and are local legends to the lineup of festivals like Dragon Dreaming Festival and Art Valley.
