“FAST” attempts to portray the intricacies of a relationship by showing the actions of one, accompanied by the feelings of the other. The latter hints at possible past relationship traumas while the other is in the midst of hers. While one wants to slow down the other wants to go fast enough to get lost in everything all at once. “FAST” isn’t about a toxic relationship, but about the reality of what a relationship is. Two people with pasts that have to come together and figure shit out.

"19yrsSober" is a pretty self-explanatory journey through the last few years of my life. It details my struggles with both music and relationships (platonic and otherwise): but, perhaps, most importantly, it examines my battle of self as I draw closer and closer to an endless descent into darkness.

This song is my interpretation of what it's like to be in love with someone who isn't ready to be loved. The constant struggle between could be lovers but current friends.

Summer 2021 sitting in my uncle’s studio in Dallas, Georgia 30 minutes outside of Atlanta at the end of my non-existent rap career. Producer: Redd Dragen instructs me on the art of releasing for the future rather than the immediate. So as he scrolls through sounds I’m suddenly filled with passion. I write as he constructs in a room devoid of talking. Glances between the artists confirming answers to un-asked questions. Filled with emotion and finally given permission to let it out in song.

Coming Over

In my first official EP, I decided to tackle some of the events both good and bad going on in my life. Opening with "Love,Drugs,Sex" I attempt to display the simplicity of my life at this moment in time. My needs being very common and simple amongst budding young adults such as myself.  Transitioning to "Die For Me" featuring a voicemail that I actually received from a girl who was talking to me in secret. The picture she's referring to is one I sent to her of a Snapchat message someone had sent me, however, she wasn't supposed to have Snapchat, or be talking to me. So safe to say all her promises went out the window once her family found out. Second, to last is "Westside" a serenade/love letter/confession all in one. It details, my past girl troubles, my insecurity in relationships, and the commitment I hold for those I love. Rounding out the EP is a freestyle in which I talk about different topics that come to mind as I attempt to rap over an unfamiliar beat. I do really hope you enjoy this piece. I know that it may have some rough edges but I hope you see through the appearance and look into the emotion and rawness of it all.

In order to understand who I am as an artist, first you need to understand my name, NNTE. It stands for No Need To Explain. My name is a metaphorical middle finger to the world as nowadays you’re forced to explain every move you make and defend everything you do. However, I simply choose to do what I want with no explanation. Because it’s my music, but also because it’s my life.
