This release is a special one for us. In loving memory of our dear friend who has died too early, n s y d e is putting out this limited Edition Vinyl with Mike Huckaby´s Remix of Skymark - Easy Saturday Night EP (Kevin Reynolds & Mike Huckaby Remixes), which will come out next on n s y d e015.1.
After Mike Huckaby´s tragic death n s y d e had decided to postpone the release in humble respect of the mourning time for this outstanding musician, human and soul.

To pay tribute to Mike Huckaby´s high sonic standards, his work its presented in the highest quality, full sided, 45rpm, 180 gram, clear Vinyl, in a limited quantity.

This Remix is in our opinion amongst Mike Huckaby´s best productions.It touches the classic soulfulness of a Larry Heard piano and blissful vocals combined with clear hints of Basic Channel´s eternal electrificationing waves of sound. 
This is a perfect testament to Mike Huckaby´s unparalleled knowledge and wide musical range, and not only those who knew him will feel his clear precence while listening to this beauty.

Mesak's dedication to experimentation and sonic exploration always excited us. 
These tracks are a perfect example of finding the sweet spots between established and new techniques.
The First track „Katosi“ shows impressively how a contemporary Finnish-Dertroit-ish sound design is still able to transport ancient human feelings like hope and melancholia at the same time. 
The acidic grounded „Narina“ creates a dungeon space constantly hitting the whiplash snare drum, while „Post Sweat“ is pouring golden Larry Heard-like warm Deep House neutrons upon you. 
For the Remix, he has invited one of the most interesting artists in the field of electronic experimentation coming out of France, Poborsk, also known under his  Bill Vortex moniker.

Mesak's music invites listeners to explore a range of emotions and moods, from the contemplative to the ecstatic, with a sense of sincerity and authenticity that is extraordinarily rare.

n s y d e is starting a new series of releases, and Volume 1 comes from close label artist and friend Mobach. Entitled XieniX (which is a phonetical Dutch spelling for “I can’t see anything”) the series is named after an influential 90s club in the city of Gouda that made a lasting impact on the young Mobach. 

Mobach has won plenty of acclaim with tracks like 2014’s ‘At The Mines of Planet X’ before now. His sound is a fusion of house, jazz, techno and ambient and really takes you to another world. This timeless new EP carries on in that vein. 

‘XieniX’ builds in curious and intriguing ways with far of synths and watery droplets pulling you right int to he centre of the track. Again slow and purposeful, it’ features some find sound design and is evocative as a result.  This is a moody, soundscaping EP that works as well as home as it does on the dance floor.

‘Exotic Drones’ is a sludgy, spacious bit of dubbed out and slow motion techno with lush chords and plenty of alien sound design. The percussion is loose and shape shifting throughout, and the bass that underpins the whole thing is all consuming.

Unlucky 013? Ha! This one’s a pearler. Multi talented producer Red Rack’em climbs up the fertile n s y d e spirit tree for this glowing summer release in the form of the ‘Nothing Without You’ EP. A mutation from the same skunky-soul strain of n s y d e 005 by Skymark / Lady Blacktronika. 
The title cut is a result of a Red Rack’em tour through the south pacific, connecting with Inkswell and fam. What was meant to be a Rack’em / Inkswell track instead ended up with Australian vocalist, now Berlin diamond in the rough: Misumami liberally sprinkling her magic throughout. With a proposed subject matter based around missing loved ones while apart,
Misumami weaves an enchanting story of longing, and matters of the heart, through signature sleek, clever, floor ready Rack’em production. 

 Flip for ‘Love Beat’ and here we get Red Rack’em- the Funky Technician fanboy, dusty fingered Native Tongue devotee, and closet Jazz dancer. The loose, bumping drum programming and sculpted, cubist jazz sampling (inna heavy Mandalorian funk fashion) weld this nocturnal seduction dance together. This is a late night groover, an eyes closed on the dance floor vibration.

 Both sides are considered House music, where the problems of the world dissolve in a heads down- vibes up situation.
