The idea for this song came after a news broadcast about the problems in Brussels. I wanted to contrast the selfish politics with the wonderful culture in this beautiful city

A simple message to myself from way back.  Found it almost like a message in a bottle. It said , relax , let go, live .... you are working and maybe even dreaming too hard.  Then slowly the message ....Connect .... seemed almost like a new mood elevating pill you could buy at a drug store.... and the song was not only advice from a future me, but quite possibly a tv commercial for a new drug called .... CONNECT.

Kiera Starr’s latest single ‘Fine Without You’ serves as the official fifth single from her upcoming sophomore album ‘Through My Eyes’. The single, co-written with UK based DJ, producer & writer DJ Freedom, discusses topics of the dark side to the industry. 

“Me & DJ Freedom both went through an awful experience together when we both started out in this industry. There was people trying to take our power, own our art, and even own us as people. FWY is kinda an FU to those people, and is our way of taking the power back. We wanted to show them that we are better without them, and we don’t need them to succeed.”
