A Complete Lack Of Rice [DEMO]

This is a short section of a track I created to challenge my mixing and mastering skills, with a really hard kick and some strong dynamics throughout, it put my knowledge to the test. Whilst there continues to be some space for improvement, this mix is more than loud enough to please any DJ and guarantees all the bass to rock the dance floor, whilst remaining crisp enough to please the audiophiles out there.

I am N0RICE (pronounced "Norris"). A producer/DJ from Greater Manchester, UK.
Rather than having an absurd destain for asian cuisine, my humour infused alias comes from a play on words relating to my legal name, Alex Norris.

I have an eclectic taste in music, and get inspired by anything from house & techno, ambient, lo-fi, jazz, country, and metal, with a particularly strong taste for the 80's classics.

My music journey began when I was in school, long before I could afford a computer or music production software. For years I worked with old synthesisers, samplers, drum machines, and groove boxes. To this day, my creative process focuses on hardware based sequencing & sound design. Whilst this can be restrictive, it guides the music towards a club oriented, retro vibe.

This process means that I tend to fall into the house and techno genres fairly naturally, but don't let this mislead you. I tie myself to no genre, so you can expect a range of styles over the coming years.
