Overcome

Over 85 producers of electronic music from Gelderland and Overijssel (two provinces in the Eastern part of The Netherlands) submitted a track to Nieuwe Electronische Waar. A jury of 20 members, consisting of dj’s/producers, bookers and talent scouts, judged all the submitted tracks. The producers with the best rated music productions are selected for the 17th edition of Nieuwe Electronische Waar (NEW).

Release show
On Friday 10 March 2023 at 7:30 PM we’re presenting the 10 selected producers during the release show at Walhalla in Deventer. This evening is organised in collaboration with Burgerweeshuis. On the same day Nieuwe Electronische Waar and record label Esc.rec. release a compilation album with the tracks that got these producers selected. It is then available as a free download, on all relevant streaming channels and via the website of NEW: https://nieuweelectronischewaar.nl

About Nieuwe Electronische Waar
Nieuwe Electronische Waar (NEW) is a platform for electronic music in the Eastern part of The Netherlands. Every year NEW selects 10 producers of electronic music from Gelderland and Overijssel based on their submitted music productions. The selected tracks are released on the NEW compilation and the producers are supported for a year. This year is filled with various coachings, workshops, showcases and a songcamp in the Ardennes of Belgium. In addition the producers that were not selected will also get the chance to develop their skills with various netwerk events, masterclasses and tips & tricks.

NEW is a joint project of Poppunt Gelderland, Poppunt Overijssel and BRUT. Regional collaboration partners are: Burgerweeshuis (Deventer), Doornroosje (Nijmegen), Hedon (Zwolle), Metropool (Twente), Astrant (Ede), Luxor Live (Arnhem), GIGANT (Apeldoorn), De Perifeer (Deventer), Esc.rec., Studio Wonder and Booster Festival.

Boomstraat had the privilege of choosing from dozens of unreleased tracks and these six made the cut.
‘Immersed’ is a selection of six Detroit techno and electro tracks all made by The Parallel in the last decade. The ep can roughly be divided into two styles, three warm club oriented Detroit techno tracks and three melodic electro tracks, both exemplary for his versatility in his musical productions.
