Update 3/20/2015 - Re EQ'ed

If I had connections to a soprano opera singer, I would have used a real recording. Understandably, compared to instrumentals, even the best vocal sample libraries still have a long way to go to sound natural.

I wanted to keep this arrangement pure to match the scene in the game. As for why I added backup voices in the second verse when Marin is the only one singing, my justification is that Nintendo themselves cheated too elsewhere. Later on when Link does an ocarina duet with Marin, her voice has a harmony track alongside her. I was inspired by the song "Prelude" from Final Fantasy Vocal Collections I: Pray. You can interpret this as perhaps Link adding the heavenly choir in his mind as he listens enchanted by Marin's voice. That's why I have the song continue playing after he leaves the screen. The instrumental outro at the end is my way of punctuating the song, describing Link's uplifted emotions as the song's magic rejuvenates him (I referenced the fairy fountain/select screen melody from the other Zeldas).
