A Kiss for Cooley

Having met while studying Music in DkIT, the group officially formed in October 2013 and are beginning to develop their own unique approach to Irish traditional music.

With several different influences, including other folk and popular musics, Na Tonnta are experimenting with tunes and arrangements, hoping to incorporate traditional music with other genres, and their own compositions.  The energetic sound of uilleann pipes, fiddle, flute, accordion and guitar make an interesting combination to experiment with, and many of its members can lift their hand to more than one instrument (though not at the same time)!  

Na Tonnta has high hopes for the coming year and hope that people enjoying listening to their music as much as they love playing it!

Previously performances include those at The Spirit of Folk Festival; Aviva Stadium; RDS, Dublin; Patrick Kavanagh Centre, Inniskeen, Co Monaghan; Oideas Gael, Co Donegal; Vantastival; and many other pubs and venues across Ireland.
