Marina P got her first break came when she voiced the massive "Divorce à l'italienne" with Mungo's Hi Fi, which was first released on Scotch Bonnet Records in 2007. Her soulful voice and ability to pen killer lyrics have seen her go on to release with some of the best producers in the soundsystem scene, including Jahtari, Stand High Patrol and DJ Madd.
This is her first full length album and features many new tracks along with her hits and has been put together for "Homeys records" which she started with help from all her musical homies. It showcases her amazing voice as the music flows between soul, dub, digital reggae and bass music.

In 2012, ten years after its inception, Stand High Patrol released their first album « Midnight Walkers ». Following the success of their first LP, plus several EPs and singles released on Stand High Records, Pupajim, Rootystep and Mac Gyver now return with a second self-produced album.

With it’s jazzy drums, deep roots bass and foggy piano melody « Sleep on it » introduces this new LP reminding the open approach of Stand High Patrol, their penchants for experimentation and their habit of playing with eras. 

Stand High’s music has always been closely linked with Kazy Usclef’s graphic work, and he has collaborated with Charlie Mars to produce a splendid accompanying video. The tune is now available for legal download with the visuals on youtube. Are you ready for a new dubadub experience?

Forts du succès de ce premier LP et de celui de plusieurs maxis et singles sortis sur Stand High Records, Pupajim, Rootystep et Mac Gyver reviennent aujourd’hui avec un second album autoproduit, habillé d’une pochette réalisée par Kazy.

Enregistré en home studio entre juin 2013 et juillet 2014 « A matter of scale » fait apparaître de nouvelles influences. Les trois dubadub musketeerz intensifient la rencontre des styles et renforcent les bases de leur démarche créative. Une démarche d’ouverture, libérée des conventions.

Porté par la riche palette de flows exploitée par Pupajim, le son navigue sans cesse entre les époques. L’expérience dubadub prend une autre dimension. Les batteries et les mélodies Jazzy côtoient le reggae digital, les beats Hip-Hop flirtent avec les sonorités bass music et les dubs progressifs.

« A matter of scale » présente la manière de concevoir et de composer la musique propre à Stand High Patrol. L’album témoigne du penchant indéniable du crew pour l’expérimentation, et de sa volonté manifeste de faire voler les barrières en éclats !

Following the success of their first LP, plus several EPs and singles released on Stand High Records, Pupajim, Rootystep and Mac Gyver now return with their second self-produced album, with sleeve art by Kazy.

Recorded in a home studio between June 2013 and July 2014, A matter of scale has brought the emergence of new influences. The three dubadub musketeerz intensify the genre crossovers and strengthen the foundations of their creative process. Theirs is an open approach, free from conventions.

Supported by the rich range of Pupajim’s vocals, the sounds travel incessantly between eras. The dubadub experience takes on new dimensions; jazzy rhythms and melodies stand alongside digital reggae, hip-hop beats, bass music and progressive dubs.

A matter of scale shows how Stand High Patrol design and compose their own music. The album reflects the undeniable penchant of the crew for experimentation and their obvious desire to break down barriers.
