There are not many things that can give you that warm and overexciting feeling as if you had to much black tea: a good song, a renewed friendship and well too much black tea. And here we have all three of them. 

An On Bast and Douglas Greed met over ten years ago on the other side of the world and always wanted to join forces. But upon till now they failed. Not in way that would suggest a big story filled with tragedy behind it. It was rather a string of missed chances and unexpectedly fast passing years.

But now we got two tracks that couldn’t be more different. "I'm right outside if you need me" is sweet as baclava and as sad as the Friday news at the same time. While "Night Time" is a nice little rolling monster, haunting you on the dance floor - if you let it.

A release as epic as Pan-Pot's feat. Cari Golden 'Captain My Captain' deserves as much attention as it can get, which has certainly been the case since its release in November last year. Now the crew are back, with an impressive team of remixers on board, so get ready for a storm out at sea again!

First to walk the plank are Booka Shade with their own stadium filling dark and driving take on the original cut. They are followed by Daniel Stefanik who adds more of a rippling and loopy effect to the production, as if you were caught in a maelstrom. Finally, label colleague Rodriguez Jr. presents something perhaps for the calm after the storm, with nice long bass chords and a gentle skip in the beat.

"Nōpi is a newborn producer project from Ukrania. Established in early 2019, Nōpi was able to score releases on significant labels and his continuous flow of giveaways has quickly gained him some recognition. We are happy to help the young talent on his rise to the top and showcase 2 groovy, melodic house tracks, supported by our dreamy family-members Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Daynight is able to deliver a bouncy and energetic baseline groove, further enforced with tight shakers and warm percussions. Gentle piano chords and soothing vocals are layered upon the bases and build a coherent atmosphere, that is characterized by subtle textures and smartly placed pad-sweeps.

With peculiar tension, main title track "The Forest" opens up its intro. A collaborating space of fieldrecordings set the mood of this song, while patient piano melodies and a warm, low-end bassline push the production forward. Subtle chants and an array of pads, create a haunting atmosphere - An adventure of mystical soundscapes, that is reshaped by our NWS-dreamers Yoni Yarchi and Daniel van der Zwaag.

Yoni's remix immediately takes a brighter and life-affirming turn, by implementing an uprising & warm bassline, energetic percussions and a flourishing synth, that is playful and charming. Elevating pads and charismatic textures, give Yoni's take and innocent feel in the most positive way.

A beafy low-end and hypnotic rhythmics are the foundation of Daniel van der Zwaag's deeper approach. The symbiosis of the lonely piano with wide and open soundscapes, create the atmosphere of a lonely walk in the woods. The complementing layers of a pushing groove and an intimate top create an interesting feel, that keeps up the mystery of the original, fortifies it and reflects the story of a forsaken place.

Giorgia Angiuli has been turning heads and moving limbs since the release of her debut album ‘In A Pink Bubble’ on Stil Vor Talent in 2018. A classically trained musician, composer and instrumentalist, she has come to be viewed as a trailblazer in her own right.

As her continued releases of atmospheric, emotive and distinctively electronic sounds edge their way ever deeper into the technosphere, what’s certain is that we’re still hooked on her sound.

In this remix EP, dedicated to pushing the ‘Angiuli effect’ to new places, various Stil Vor Talent artists have reimagined the following tracks from her debut album ‘In A Pink Bubble’.

Koletzki’s driving interpretation of ‘Nothing to Lose’ gives us a dose of sound that takes us forward, up and over. This ambitious story is told with hypnotic riffs and melodic licks which let us know that nighttime has finally arrived.

Sobek’s take on ‘A Perfect Day in Tulum’ is laced with pulsating atmospheres, perfectly placed vocals and synth lines which pull the lazy out from the corners. Rolling us up into a dreamscape throwback of days gone by, we are transported to a deep and roving electronic state of mind.

GusGus brings deep, rumbling, and shadowy frequencies to a new level for his take on ‘Copenhagen’. Pulling us into the future, while taking us into the mists of the night, this is serious electronica for discerning ravers.

Travelling you into another dimension, with a nod to electro of the past, Henry Saiz retains the essence of Giorgia’s ‘Inspiration,’ offering it back to the dancefloor with an often broken, but always dynamic retro vibe.

The Remix EP of “In A Pink Bubble” pays well-deserved homage to Angiuli’s debut album, and adds a distinctive Stil Vor Talent flavour. A must-listen for any creature of the night with penchant for Giorgia’s distinctive sound.

PREMIERE: Giorgia Angiuli - Copenhagen (GusGus Remix) [Stil Vor Talent]

Maga, the highly prolific DJ & producer from France, returns to Audiofly’s Supernature imprint with a new single, pairing up two delicious new tracks, and backed with a remix from Unders & Camiel Daamen.
Always pushing his own limits when it comes to his musical prowess, Maga favours a fusion of melodic, minimal and strong energies, as can be heard on previous releases and remixes for Get Physical, The Gardens Of Babylon, and Flying Circus Recordings.
‘The Trap’, with its breezy, mystical melodies, and considered tempo, is a seductive affair. Deft percussion and a soft kick drum keep a warm atmosphere, whilst the ‘stop/start’ interplay keeps the mood playful.
Unders & Camiel Daamen feat Shishani, collaborate on the remix of ‘The Trap’, expanding and stretching the themes within the original mix, for a great reworking. A more techno centric mood is established, whilst remaining captivating and esoteric in equal measures.
‘Momentum’ keeps with the percussive theme, with a gentle and soft sound aesthetic, as a melodic refrain
unfurls, and cosmic dialogue drifts over its breakdown, another highly polished production from Maga here!
