About Olf:

Olf ist Dj and digger in Wien. Durch sein offenes Ohr für verschiedene Genres von elektronischer Musik, ist sein Geschmack vielseitig und geht von Downtempo bis Techno. Seit 5 Jahren konzentriert er sich vor allem auf unterschiedliche Stile von House und mit seinem alter Ego "Discolf" auf Funk. Seine Dj Sets zeichnen sich vor allem durch groovy basslines aus, die mit wobbely und verspielten sounds unterlegt werden. Der Mix für IT WORKS ist voll mit Tracks, die Olf in letzter Zeit gerne aufgelegt hat und reicht von funky House, treibenden Microhouse, bouncy Deep Tech, bis hin zu Breaks und Indie Dance. Viel Spaß.

Olf is a vienna based Dj and digger. Due to his open ear for different genres of electronic music, his taste is quite versatile. For the last 5 years he has been mainly focusing on different styles of driving house music and with his alter ego “discolf” on funk. His Sets are characterized by groovy basslines, hissing hi hats and clapping snares, which are underlaid with wobbly and fussy sounds. The mix for it works is full of tracks that Olf has recently been playing in Vienna, ranging from funky house, driving microhouse, bouncy deep tech, to breaks, spacey sounds and indie dance. It Works Podcast #154 mit Olf

Some artists you connect with before you ever meet them. A mix from a homie in Buenos Aires led me to a Gustavo Cerati remix I couldn’t get out of my head. Had to find out who was behind it. That search brought me to @Furz and I’ve been tapped into his work ever since.

Nunca nos vimos en persona, pero así es esta cultura. La música conecta mucho antes de que la vida real se cruce. In English, we’ve never met in person…but that’s how this culture moves. Music makes the connection long before real life ever does.

Furz is one of the most eclectic voices coming out of Argentina right now. His sets are raw, hardware-driven journeys that move between house and electro, deeply rooted in Latin rhythms and the energy of early rave culture. There’s a steady continuity in what he does - empathetic, introspective, and completely locked in.

For episode 009, He shared something personal:
“The cat in the drawing passed away earlier this year. He was with me in the studio through most of my productions these last two years. This is a small tribute to a true companion who still walks beside me.”

There’s no formula here, just emotion, memory and rhythm stretched across machines... and from Bariloche, algo muy real.
