'Josh Butler welcomes fresh talent to his prominent Origins imprint in the form of Inflair who unleashes a highly danceable and strong four track EP titled ‘Authenticity EP’ 

With pristine and clear production the future is clearly bright for the young up and coming UK artist Inflair, who has previously released on Satori London along with self releasing via his own Bandcamp page, and now he steps it up with a very strong release via Butlers Origins imprint.

The first track on the EP is called ‘Keep It Real’ which blends the realms of house and deep house and is full of elegance. Its deep and rolling feel is one that will have floors moving and people smiling from its uplifting and energetic feel.

Next up is ‘Sunrise’ where Inflair takes things deep and emotive. Swirling pads and pushing chords form the basis of this track and this is a classy affair that’s perfect for when the need for a certain chic ambience is required. Following on from this is the aptly named ‘Sunset’ which is a lucid dream pad laden journey of deep house which is the perfect sound for when the sunset is setting and people are getting ready for a night out. 

To finish off this excellent EP is ‘Tell Ya’ where Inflair adds some breakbeat to this EP and delivers a track loaded with depth and a subtle power that will work in many situations. It’s a beauty to listen to and also throw into a set when playing to a crowd who are up for a journey and experience quality music that is anything but generic.'

An artist with a diverse and storied relationship with the dance music scene, GMJ & Matter are proud to see Kasper Koman make his label debut with the twin-track "Sinking Sky / Biome". A veteran of more than a century of production credits dating back to a 2008 debut, Kasper Koman has seen his work signed to myriad high-profile labels including the likes of Plattenbank, Anjunadeep and Guy J's Lost & Found. From central Netherlands, Kasper has combined trademark emotion with a powerful and evocative sound that has seen his music supported by such leading tastemakers as Guy Mantzur, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J himself. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the "Sinking Sky" opener is characterised by a driving beat and metronomic hi-hat pattern. A running 16th note bassline pattern enters the fray in the second movement with a fizzing vibrancy provided by resonating and filtered effects. A cast of additional characters add to the overall sonic landscape including a beautifully juxtaposed pad progression. A spine-tingling breakdown provides acetylene-edged emotion via the extended bassline motif, before hitting its stride once more in the latter stages to wondrous effect and no small amount of production talent. "Biome" continues the narrative of raw effects-laden power, while a strong kick lays the foundation for a piercing percussive groove, adding swing to the off-beat. A well-crafted sonic palette supplies a soft chord progression of Kraftwerk-inspired imagination as a meandering array of well-placed effects, white-noise washes and rasping bass notes create a mosaic of sounds. The result is a hypnotic, angular offering that keeps listener interest piqued without a central melody seeing the 6-minute piece fly past in an instant. Roger Martinez's Higher States continues a great year by welcoming RIGOONI to the label for his debut single. Hailing from São Paulo, Vinícius Souza aka RIGOONI has been rising out of Brazil's burgeoning electronic music underground. 2019 was highlighted by an appearance on Nick Warren's Balance compilation, setting the stage nicely for a 2020 release on the legendary DJ's The Soundgarden imprint. Subsequent offerings courtesy of MNL, One Of A Kind and Strangers Beats have made for a breakout year. Now fresh off a remix for Luka Sambe's 'Alive Is The Meaning', the Brazilian artist debuts on Higher States with 'When Midnight Comes', alongside a remix from Alex O'Rion.

Often sitting in the creative space between organic and progressive house, RIGOONI once again amalgamates those sensibilities on 'When Midnight Comes'. Anchored by a warm, spacious groove, its atmospheric scope comes up quickly, with glowing overlays and blissful swells layering a bed of effervescent percussion. Haunting vocal fragments marry harmonic drifts across the first act, eventually segueing into the main break. A more distinct musical narrative sits at the heart of the centrepiece, as rustic plucks and piano cascades play off each other wonderfully, resonating against a backdrop of glowing electronics, before the groove drops for a reflective finale.

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'When Midnight Comes' is Alex O'Rion. Having made his Higher States debut in June of this year with two well received Antrim collaborations, the Dutch artist also lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Nick Warren's Hope Recordings. Now fresh off the release of his 'The Long Walk' EP for Cid Inc's Replug Records, Alex lands back on Higher States for his first remix. Taking a cue from the original while adding a progressive state of mind, Alex crafts a perfect complement to its predecessor. Atop a well contoured foundation comes rolling rhythms and layers of striking percussion. A unique contrast of character and groove eventually reveals fragmented melodies and harmonic overlays, blanketing the pulasting framework for goosebump worthy moments. A bed of percussive delays trails across the main break, subtly building tension as hazy motifs unite for an exhilarating final movement. A stunning remix from Alex once again, which rounds out a superb Higher States debut for RIGOONI. Highly recommended.

Stefan Hanny as known as NACH, is an established DJ/Producer with over 8 years experience. After completing a diploma of sound engineering in 2005, NACH has mixed and engineered sound at numerous venues around Sydney. 

Since then, NACH has produced music in a variety of genres including, House, . Minimal tech and techno. 
Known for variety and originality in his production he now focuses on producing and playing the more tech infused styles of house. Incorporating the perfect balance of funk elements over driving tech beats. 

Having had residencies  and played around the Northern Beaches and inner city area of Sydney including appearences  at the famed Return to Rio festival , and played at numerous venues overseas.  NACH is well known for his funky tech-house sets and flawless production in the studio. 

NACH has well and truly established himself as one of the leading forces of the new wave of tech-house and house producers to emerge from Sydney, and an artist to surely look out for in the near future.
