Freunde der Freuden 

Das menschliche Dasein bietet eine schier unendliche Vielzahl von Angeboten zum rauschhaften Vergnügen. Die Möglichkeiten sich mit einer extra Portion Glückshormonen zu versorgen sind sehr breitgefächert und weniger individuell, als man im ersten Moment annehmen könnte. In unseren Breitengraden erfreut sich fast jeder an einem Stück Schokolade, auch Koffein in Form von Kaffee oder Tee gehört ebenfalls für viele zum Alltag. Für andere ist es das Nikotin am morgen oder das Bier nach dem Feierabend, welches die Laune anhebt und den Geist mehr oder minder stimuliert. Neben diesen eher unauffälligen Helferlein gibt es ein ganzes Sammelsurium an Substanzen, welche beim Menschen bewusstseinsverändernde Rauschzustände auslösen können. Je nach Art und Beschaffenheit wirken sich solche Mittel ganz unterschiedlich auf die Physis und Psyche aus. Resultat ist in jedem Fall ein veränderter Bewusstseinszustand. Rausch ist seit Anbeginn der dokumentierten Geschichte ein elementarer Bestandteil des Lebens. Jede Kultur hat für sich Möglichkeiten entdeckt oder kultiviert, dass Alltagsbewusstsein zu verlassen und in andere Sphären des Daseins einzutauchen. Die Akzeptanz dieser Tatsache ist ein erster und wichtiger Schritt zur Heilung und Aussöhnung mit der menschlichen Natur. 

Der Podcast von Friends of Hannes ist definitiv Festivalverdächtig. Schwoffige Vibes werden mit groovigen Rhythmen und verspielten Melodien kombiniert. Das gesamte Set klingt wie ein Guss und geht den musikalischen Gaumen herunter wie geschmolzene Butter. "Vor nicht allzu langer Zeit begegnete Baba vor seinem Haus einem alten, heruntergekommenen, obdachlosen Yamaha DX-7. Alte Synthesizer aus den 80ern sind Baba sehr sympathisch, weshalb er den ziemlich verwirrten und zerkratzten Digitalpionier auf einen kleinen Jam ins seine Wohnung einlud. Seine Hoffnung, inspirierenden Klängen und aufregenden Geschichten zu lauschen, wurde nicht enttäuscht, obwohl der alte Herr auf Grund einer niemals gewechselten Batterie unter starkem Gedächtnisverlust zu leiden hatte. Einige inspirierende Fetzen dieses mehrstündigen Monologs über Italo Disco, Acid House und viele verpasste Gelegenheiten konnte Baba unbemerkt aufzeichnen und in diese kleine akustische Perle verwandeln - ein hektischer Versuch, all das Versäumte aufzuholen.“

Hey guys,

here is the recording of my dj set during Do Not Sit in Amsterdam at the amazing club De Marktkantine.

I would like to express my gratitude to Behrouz and the Do Not Sit team for making this magical night happen. Also, all my love and gratitude to everyone that came around to support and dance during my set. The energy was so lovely, as usual in Amsterdam.

Can't wait to play again in Amsterdam this 8 February for my birthday at Corals with Maga, Paralllells, Joep Mencke, Mahfoud, Elif, Lev Tatarov,  Ar & rec, Sebaas, Akira S., Deep Ghosh, Massimo, Niv Yefet, TanRut and Bona Fide. It's going to be a vibe!
