Our guest this week is on a whipround tour of Japan and has played everywhere from the quirky low key venues in Tokyo right through to the iconic Womb club. 

The Armenian DJ & Producer flexes across multiple styles of deep house from dubby and heavy on the low end to more eclectic lofi grooves. 

Over the past few years she's struck up releases on multiple renowned deep house labels such as Closer To Truth, Lizstomania, Rewind, Blur & House Salad and her solid production has attracted some huge remixers including those of Simplex Motive & Heat Alliance! 

Her latest release is the Midori No Basho EP from our good friends at Closer To Truth.

While we wait for the next Dancing With Friends Vol.3 V/A album to drop later this summer SlothBoogie give us our next fix with a new spin off called Remixing With Friends. As you’d guess from the name… the project invites their global roster of friends and family of the label to take a deep dive through the SB archive and pick out some tracks to remix and make their own.

The first instalment kicks off with Scottish hero, The Revenge, with a toughened and looped up remix of DJ Aakmael’s Strobe. Chicago’s Chrissy chips in with a pumping yet floaty Bass driven rework of Jesse Bru & Max Ulis’ Big Chirp. Canada’s Jason Hodges adds some trademark bump to I-Gemin’s Green Light morphing it into a House stepper.

Hackney based duo International Dateline channel shimmering synthy Metro Area vibes as they re-imagine Jesse Bru’s Yellow Sunshine Machine. And finally completing the package Berlin’s Joe Cleen shows us what happens when you blend Disco and Garage flavours together as only he can in his “re-polish” of Subjoi’s What You Do.

Some say he built the interior of his home entirely out of vinyl records and old turntable parts. It is said he even uses turntable needles as toothpicks. All we know for sure is that, with over 15 years of experience behind the decks, NK (short for ‘Nachtklank’) has perfected his craft of moving the masses with his signature blend of soulful and disco-infused cuts, sprinkled with some of that old school hip-hop flavour.
From his monthly gigs at A.M. Club in Ghent and appearances at Bruksellive & legendary Belgian club La Rocca, to his involvement in local collectives Deep Sessions & Upper Cuts, NK lives for the love of​ ​drawing people into his music. Both within and beyond (Slovenia, Paris, London,..) the borders of our tiny country.
