Here's the BBC Radio 1 Minimix and interview I did for the wonderful Annie Mac back in 2004.  Annie was a big early supporter of my music and I had the best time making this mix and preparing the interview.

Annie and I agreed a system beforehand, that Rex would answer the questions with barks: one bark for 'yes' and two barks for 'no'.  I prepared a set of bark samples and 'performed' the interview live on air from a keyboard.

Belgian cosmic disco mastermind Vhyce steps in for the first remix, with a spacey and mental exploration of the eponymous single. Next in row, Ukrainian ‘happy techno’ duo Yame reinterpret As I Am in a totally opposite direction with their signature vocoded and bonker production prowesses.

Sonnenallee, the second original track of the EP, is a sunny and slightly deranged funky stomper initially produced at the time of Franz's debut 'Ostkreuz' release. No one else than the fantastic disco pilot crew of Tegel Boys could close this EP more beautifully, with their infamous and obsessive acid-boogie styled hooks, making you want to dance until you can’t feel your legs any more.

Casualities was originally released back in 2007 as a part of Phonique’s Good Idea album, with vocals from Kings of Convenience and Whitest Boy Alive’s Erlend Øye. 

Now, 16 years later, the Ukrainian duo YAME share a remix that brings a totally new take to this classic track. 

YAME are Victor Kiriiakidi and Oleksandr Seletskyi - a unique duo that have been blowing up dance floors with their cosmic indie dance sound. 

Here they let loose on the source material - cutting up and manipulating the vocal into a highly energetic and fun electro /disco influenced banger.

SEQUENCE MIXTAPES #001

The story begins in 1998 in Barcelona when I discovered electronic music for the first time listening Orbital in a friend’s Compact disc. Since then, I just wanted to play and create those beats.
In 2003 I got my first residency in a Barcelona club called Rita Blue and played in different venues such Mochima and Co2.
In 2007, I decided to move to Dublin where I participated in small festival called: Summer Sound Festival and started also to lead my own parties under the name: Electrik Soul nights.
In 2010, I got a monthy residency at Shebeen Chic, just right after management and staff loved my performance at a private party. Also, at the same time, I was running an online radio show in CGI, Clubbers Guide Ireland, digital Radio. 
In 2015, I joined forces with a friend and we ran several parties under the name TDB, playing at Wigwam club.
In 2017, I brought back Electric Soul nights, promoting and playing a monthly residency at MVP and The Underground venue.
