oko is laced’s sophomore EP under her new moniker, which takes a new path compared to her previous noise explorations. Drawing inspiration from ambient music, dreampop, video game and anime soundtracks, breakbeat and IDM, the music conveys a dream world where the artist tends to escape in. The EP was produced over the course of 2021 since laced’s 2020 MUTEK performance in Montreal, taking a melodic approach in contrast to her more percussive productions. oko is best consumed under a pile of warm blankets or under the rain, its energy being one of catharsis, contemplation, healing and dreaming.

A&A continues its mixfile series with nuanced club explorations by Vienna based music producer and evo-natura label head xato.

xato (est. 2018) is the moniker of the Greek, Vienna-based artist, producer and audio engineer Ioannis Nafpliotis (b. 2000). 

With a diverse palette of sounds, he debuted in 2020 with “State of Dismay”, an ambient/drone EP released on Himera’s boutique collective, “GoodbyeForever”. Entering 2024, he released a club essential EP "Emotional Burner" on DJ Loser's label “Magdalena’s Apathy”, featuring Atlanta's finest 645AR, his adisipated drone EP "Irrational Fear" via "evo-natura", featuring bod [包家巷] and the catastrophic bass / leftfield EP "Stories with no fairy tales" via "xyx", featuring Klahrk.

His work involves sound synthesis and manipulative resampling from personal sound design
sessions and field recordings, fusing club, hip-hop & avant-garde elements.

xato is the owner of the avant-garde label “evo-natura” and electronic club collective “xyx”.

43°, the debut LP by French electronic producer Basile3, is the result of a decade of cultivating a musical identity that focuses on hybridisation, sonic recycling, and playfulness. The enigmatic title "43°" signifies a haze of bliss (4+3=7, the producer's lucky number) backdropped by the ecological state of a world that’s grown slightly but surely warmer. In this anticipation fiction, Basile3 offers a soundtrack that is an exploration of club music, electronica infused with r&b and ambient synths. The French producer warmly invites listeners to his state of mind, blooming with genre-bending floating soundscapes.
